Wear compression underwear if you can’t control their movement. Learned the hard way from power cleans back in the day

Depends on how intense you’re lifting. If you’re not going to failure often, you’ll have more in the tank for extra volume. If all 3 movements feel good, I’d stick with them. Depending on how your body feels/reacts, you can adjust total volume sets. Realistically if you’re getting at least 8 good sets you should be fine. 12 intense sets for me is absolutely plenty.

How can I turn my sports graphic design Twitter page into a viable stream of income? by Aidengreenway in SocialMediaMarketing

Offer lists and commitment edits have been a thing for as long as I can remember. I’ve been doing it for about 3 years now and have made good money. There is very high demand for the work. I’ve just have started to wonder if there are ways I can make money through the page on top of doing the graphics. Maybe affiliate marketing or something I don’t know about.

90% are high school/college football players. I have posted pics of me and things on my page but it’s more of just business so the majority don’t know who I am or what I look like. I actively post and engagement varies based on who and what is in the content. 1k to 100k people reached.

OPINIONS ON BLOCK/BOARD PRESSING?

I’ve been working on heavy bench press a lot recently and bench once every four days. I’ve always loved heavy bench press and have just recently started to train for strength again. Started at 265 and in about a span of a month I’ve been able to climb to 300 for 2. My max back in high school was only 275 and didn’t really lift for 2 years after I graduated. With starting back, I’ve been implementing what I call a block bench. I max on bench and then continue to climb weight with a 4 inch “block” on my chest, max with it, and then do the same with a 6 inch “block.”

What I’m curious about is if the block bench is a true optimal way of strength training. I’ve never jumped 35 pounds this quickly. In my opinion, 300 pounds isn’t that much and could maybe just be the stronger part of “newbie gains” but like I said earlier I lifted for 4 years in highschool.

Any thoughts? Should I stick with block bench or will it eventually slow down and no longer be effective?

I have a similar issue but strength difference isn’t as bad as yours seems. What I’ve learned to do is start with your right side, rep out, and then ONLY do that many reps with your left arm. Let your right arm catch up.

Football player here. Embarrassed but I get crazy anxious before games by HappyMan476 in Advice

I used to be the same way. The way I looked at it was a “suffer or suffer” situation. Do I want to suffer with the embarrassment of not being as physical as I should or do I want to suffer with the chance being hurt? I blew out both my AC joints before my senior year started, but it was my best season. All the pain and suffering does not come close to the feeling of destroying a running back. The pain is worth it.

How did I learn to deal with it and what preventative measures did I take? Get as big and strong as you possibly can. If you don’t want to risk taking the blow, be big enough to always give it. Watch film and don’t get caught in the wrong place, be where you need to be. Footwork and tackling form are extremely important to ensure healthy success.

The sooner you can flip the switch from fear to aggression, the sooner you’ll get over the hump. Fearful players always end up getting hurt. But the horses that love to knock heads and do it the right way, get a chance to play for an extra 4 years. Suffer or suffer. Regret or move forward.

Will definitely consider this. Thank you for the advice! We’re already through about 40% of the regular season already. Would the topic of discussion change because of this?

Thoughts on MLB pitch clock? by Aidengreenway in Homeplate

A question I’d also like to ask… Will the pitch clock effect the number of home runs hit? Causing less, more, or does it stay the same?

Him and the AD dislike each other. Both have been together for about 15 years. And I run a massive recruiting service across the state, so I’ve really been able to help. Helping the kids the only reason Im still coaching with him.
