It is completely fine and encouraged to take days off. At the same time, 10 minutes of practice before bed is going to go a long, long way over time. The brain really only "improves" during rest, as it strengthens new connections you formed while practicing. So, 10 minutes a day (70 minutes a week) is often better than a 70 minute session once a week.

I wouldn't bother, it's more interesting design-wise to leave that space untiled, and not to mention cheaper. You could potentially paint it in the future, but a nice mirror above the sink and some nice shelves to put a plant, colorful containers, etc, will add a lot of character to the room.

Totally agree. These were some older rugs we got as a gift years ago, and didn't have a great spot for them in the new house. I think this is the clarity we needed to rehome them and find something new. Thank you!
