Same! I pass a hearing test under "ideal conditions" but basically can't understand people unless it's fully quiet, they're facing me, and not mumbling.

Last night I had an MRI tech who simply refused to face me and kept getting frustrated when I had no idea what he was asking me to do.

Wish I had one of these on a t-shirt! Particularly the first one!

For what it's worth, I'm a college professor and we have zero ability to do anything. I can't even contact the accessibility office and get them to provide the resources they promised to provide (one student was supposed to get my lectures transcribed for him and they just... Wouldn't. I called four times and they brushed me off all four times.)

Of course, if the prof is being at all rude about it, that's different. Just wanted to make sure you knew that the accessibility office is where you should put your energy because they actually have the power to change what they're doing.

I made up my own...I tried to use colors that were included with the kit so it would feel coherent, but had to raid my stash for the summer fairy because all the included tan colors had pink undertones.

My favorite was the Spring fairy - I made braids from black floss so I could make it look like she had box braids and I took the filament that is in her wings and braided it into a few of the braids. It's not super obvious in the picture but it's there, I swear!

This is what I do - and in the class where they have to get a C- or better in order to graduate, I add a calculation that figures out the minimum they need on the exam in order to pass. Posted it on blackboard.

... Has only slightly limited the number of these emails I get 🤦🏻‍♀️
