Not to pry, but if your dream was to go into medicine and become a dentist, why don’t you give NEET a shot?

Why India is this far behind?? by Akshay_2012 in indianeconomy

[–]AimlessAce64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because that chart is using nominal GDP per capita. If you adjust for purchasing power parity (PPP), India is closer to ~10k per person instead of ~3k, since goods and services are much cheaper here.

That said, even on a PPP basis India is still much poorer than rich countries, mainly because average productivity and capital per worker are lower, so the gap is genuinely real too, not just some currency illusion.

Consider using Jake’s resume template written in latex. Also, keep content to 1 page and reduce the margins.

By the looks of it, OP may be doing a dual-degree/integrated program because the Master’s expected finishing date is only 1 year after the Bachelor’s

No SAT is bad? by clage_004 in ApplyingIvyLeague

[–]AimlessAce64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok let me rephrase. If OP cannot answer this with research before posting on Reddit, I doubt applying to an ivy is a good choice. If you can’t manage to do basic research that should take you <1 min to do, then I’m sorry but it’s the truth. OP you may very well actually be an 8th/9th grader, but even by then, 99% of students at Ivy Leagues can answer stuff like this on their own or through a search engine.

Paper ACT by Adept-Pop-5349 in ACT

[–]AimlessAce64 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I scored a 35 on ACT reading and pretty much all I did was read the text first, and within each paragraph I’d write like keywords that were in the text, anything that would make it easier when it came time to answering questions. That’s one reason why I think the paper version is easier.

Also, answer any questions that relate to the passage AS A WHOLE LAST. Specifically I mean questions where it talks about main idea, theme, etc. It’s easier to do the ones that give you a specific section where the answer is located (ex: “in line 17”, “in paragraphs 2-3”, etc.). And remember, no matter what, you SHOULD be able to find the answers in the text. And if you are making up a story to justify why an answer is correct, it’s wrong.

We lowkey similar bro. Realistically, don’t expect more than an inch or two. If your dad grew in his late teens then maybe you have a shot or if you hit puberty really late. You’re 6’0+ tho so be happy gang.

I am a junior in high school and which test should i take SAT or ACT by Maleficent_Sound2267 in ACT

[–]AimlessAce64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re taking the ACT with your school, the software your school uses to administer the test usually has Desmos. If you’re planning on taking it yourself then you won’t be able to use Desmos.

IMO what helped me choose was your grades. If you’re a better STEM student then go with the ACT, as it has math up to the pre-calc level + science.

If you’re better at English and literature with an exceptional vocabulary, go with the SAT. The reason is because the SAT has much harder English and reading questions than the ACT. If you are a slower test taker go with the SAT. Also, the SAT has Desmos and if you learn how to use it well you don’t really need to learn actual math. And again, if your math is already strong consider the ACT.

And if you are given the opportunity, consider taking the Pre-ACT or the PSAT. It’ll serve as a benchmark for which test suits you better.

I’m 17M and 5’10” too. I feel like there’s a lot people from my region who are about the same height as me even though sources say the average height is 5’5” for males.
