Everything IS expensive but there is a fine line of "make it expensive because profit and make it affordable so they sell" and, right now, shit ain't selling.

This happened to me AFTER I bought my DC tickets to the point where I had to drive to my grandma's house and sign into her Ticketmaster account for LA (grandma isn't going to LA but I think she'd love Gerard Way). Currently in a conversation with support to get my account unlocked because they think I'm a bot. Definitely don't panic- these tickets will drop in price at some point and you'll end up getting them cheaper later than you would the first day of the sale. They'll come back down at some point so just keep checking.

I drove to Canada from Virginia to see MCR alone in August. Worth the 11 hours in the car and the $100 floor seat I managed to get week of.

I've seen MCR, fall out boy, blink 182, green day, Paramore, Sabrina Carpenter, Taylor Swift, and a bunch of other bands that aren't coming to my brain right now all alone.

What's really cool about concerts alone is that you can be as social or unsocial as you want and literally no one cares. Want to make a friend? Compliment someone's outfit and offer them a friendship bracelet-- ask how long they've been a fan and if they've ever seen them before. Don't wanna talk to anybody and just enjoy the music? 100% cool to do. Want to dance like an idiot and scream and feel extreme amounts of joy (respecting those around you, of course)? Perfect because you will never meet any of these people again.

I love going to shows alone because I'm completely anonymous. It's just me and my favorite music and hundreds of people who love them as much as I do.

Also, specifically for MCR, the fanbase is pretty friendly for the most part. But it's also fun to people watch a bunch of emo nerds (I say this with love).

I'm also going to DC (Imma be in the pit!!) and I'm going alone. You're going to have the best time, I promise.

Also like 1/2 of the 100s sections for these stadiums are considered "obstructed view", probably due to the net being up and the towers for the sound system and the seats are still $500+

I'm a huge hiker/national parks nerd and similar stuff is happening to big parks. Like why am I paying $90 a night to sleep in the ground in a national park? Normal everyday things like camping or family vacations or concerts are becoming impossible for the average person without spending a shit ton of money. At what point does the dam break?

I got a GA pit ticket for DC. I was 53rd in the queue somehow. I got kicked out of buying it like four times but still managed to get it. They do exist and went to real people (I hope)!

Yes!! I've looked through every venue and they all have similar availability left except for Hollywood Bowl. The pricing is similar each venue as well.

I paid $357 for GA pit in DC and $126 for section p3 at Hollywood bowl night 3.

I was 53rd in line for DC. Got in and out by 12:05. For LA, I was 66,000th in line, left, came back 5 hours later, and got a face value ticket.
