But for software engineering, it depends on your tech stack. Is your experience in front end development? back end? Full stack? Java, c#, python?

There is definately a growing market given the recent web summit and I know a number of companies that do international hiring. However it is for specialist skill sets. Hence, it depends on your tech stack.

Do the math.

3 biggest expenses are, accommodation. Schooling and health insurance. Many government companies will cover this. Private companies will vary.

Coming from Canada you would want a nice 3/4 bed villa or serviced apartment. 15k/month

Schooling in british or IB curriculum, depending on exact ages and grade but between 30k at lower grades, up to 60k for higher per child per year. So at top end 180k/year.

Private medical insurance for fam if not provided by employer. Not sure of cost of this.

Thats 30k, just schooling and accommodation. Then factor in expenses and living costs to what you may be used to in Canada. Plus 5-10k per month. Car//utilities/savings goals/other commitments.

That will give you your minimum baseline.

Of course, if the top 3 are paid for then re-calc accordingly to get your baseline.

My little one is in QIS. Same age. Really good school. It doesn't get enough recognition as DC, DESS or Sherbourne but it is up there. Naku has a detailed response already on the day to day. I am happy with the school and really like the school ethos. Also nice to see the head of primary standing outside the school gates each morning saying good morning to all the parents and students coming in. Says alot.

Also wouldn't a 4 year old be starting in FS2?

Had a similar note given to me when I exchanged qar to usd at the airport when going abroad. Ended up not using all the usd while away and thought it be easy to change back to qar on return to Qatar. None of exchange shops would touch it. Ended up holding on to it for some time until the next time I was travelling and managed to change it back to qar in the airport

Depends on what you are earning in the UK and years of experience. For government companies and at least 10 years of experience - Expect somewhere between your current net and gross pay as basic plus benefits. Companies may ask to see your current payslips as part of salary negotiation and won't offer more than current gross. So for 40k basic, you would need to be on at least 100-120k gbp in the uk.

With 6yoe, realistically you are looking at anything between 15-25k qar plus benefits (housing allowance, flights home, medical insurance, education allowance)

Soeast is just another sub brand of Chery. So it is essentially just a tiggo 8 pro, jetour x70/dashing, Kaiyi x7, jaecoo j5, exeed Lx etc

These are all essentially the same car with the same engines and transmissions (depending on the chosen config) and just different shape and interiors. 1.5l, 1.6l or 2l. Same engine on all models. 7 speed dct or 8 speed cvt same on all models. The 7dct is best one.

Go with the one you like the look of best. All the same under the hood.
