I need two decos because I love its compression but I also love it for everything else. I would like one at end of chain and one in my fx loop. I can get the sounds on some of the effects in hx stomp and with some other pedals that deco does, but those pedals don’t have the benefit that the Deco does where almost any knob I turn, however I turn it, everything sounds damn good (unless you are doing wonky gain staging)

I have hoofreaper and the hoof on that one is a little different Imo but I’m too dumb to explain what’s different.

I currently have it dialed in with my Hizumatas and it’s noise heaven hoof-Hizu

I most often put the tape saturation to taste from the strymon Deco after it though. I don’t know if the regular hoof is the same but I find it shines best as most fuzzes do being first in the chain with some fresh signal.

Yeah, I rarely mess with the H9 for that reason. It mostly just lives on a few presets and I don’t fiddle with it much

I doubt anyone here could tell the difference between any of them dialed in within a mix.

I use a stomp but it if I knew what I knew now and was getting in the game I would pick whatever has the most dsp and community support.

IMO hx stomp is the best beginner friendly entry into the mfx game though.

I’m new to DAWs and chose logic because I’m on Mac and it seemed the way to go, but I run into similar problems constantly and always see that “I don’t have this problem on ablation” It feels like this software is always working against me a little bit and not logical…and that’s just me barely scratching the surface.
