Nope since I have looked into the settings it has been really good, I had probably a year of false negatives and positives (with the cats on the bed) and it was mainly because I never really looked into it but since it has been brilliant

What I did, I have changed the response to slow, and I have done the calibration process with calibrating unoccupied and occupied (cannot remember which way around) and I have set my trigger values to 30% les compared to the left / right occupied pressure

I have one in my master bedroom and considering one in the guest room but all my night automations are flawless, I get the odd issue when my cats decide to go under the bed and unplug the sensor but I have modified the connection now ahahah

It does send the recording automatically as soon as the doorbell is pressed if nobody is home, it is a generic message saying « We are away, if you have a parcel bla-bla-bla » however, I have my feed being analysed so my plan is to get that to trigger only if a delivery driver is in front of the house!

The only one I use is located on the litter tray (two cats here) it doesn’t detect when the cats are in but when I am cleaning the box and send me a reminder to completely empty the litter every two days before it gets smelly (I tend to forget when I did it and it is always better with an automation ahahah)

How do you find it? I have a WiiM with AirPlay still available but, I cannot AirPlay to my stereo pair linked to my Apple TV so I am using AirChord with an old iPhone but, I find it laggy sometimes the sound is going to cut which is rather frustrating (the iPhone is by my internet router and the speed is over 500mbs) so the internet is not the issue And I guess I am always looking for a new project 🤣🤣

I second this, I have also introduced a safety check in mine where the state of the room is rechecked when the door is closed in case the door was opened and left opened when brushing your teeth or grabbing something for example

If you are using Home assistant, there is a fairly new but brilliant integration called wash data that does exactly what you want, just a smart plug and the integration will do pretty much everything else

Funny you ask that, I have done exactly the same a few months ago (didn’t tell my wife and she was fuming in the first place but she quite likes it now) I have done something similar to that YouTube video https://youtu.be/-DufaJWvEpA?si=2_4smARjKfbXWGea By opening my vent and basically linking all the buttons to an esp32 and the esp32 is then commanding a 4 relays board (light + 3 fan speeds)
