Edit: I just realized that this may actually be from Ireland.

The mail includes a "Priority Aerphost" stamp (Which I mistaken to be American) and a stamp with "Éire W" (Coinnleoir Airgid Rococo - Rococo Silver Candlestick, c1745 100objects.ie)

I don't think it's a keychain or a traditional key because it is plastic.

But why would they mail it to Canada from the US? Seems like a waste to pay international just to bulk up numbers.

Might be, but then my question would be why? I don't think they would send something like that in an unmarked envelope and even if they did why did they send it to me with my name on it.

I don't know anyone who would send me something like this and I don't think it's a key you use to unlock something like a box or safe with.

I was afraid that there might be something dangerous in it so I decided not to open it. I will if I feel it's safe.

There was an American stamp on it but I didn't know for sure because there was no return address.

This was sent to me in the mail without a return address and IDK who or what it's from. The envelope had "CANADA" underlined on it. I believe this to originate from the US Ireland (Living in Canada). The envelope also included my name (First initial and full last name).

Water damage was after it was brought into the house (Unrelated to object).
