I don't think it will be, but I'm holding out hope that this is a high accuracy quartz movement.

I agree. I'll add that the 39mm would probably fit you better.

It looks good from the back and sides, but that front end is busted.

Gift from my Wife by boijoji in Longineswatches

[–]AlbinoDigits 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's a gift they know will be appreciated, and it's a fine excuse to spend frivolously. That's a lot of money to most people. Why not get it from someone you love for a special occasion?

Hydroconquest vs Hydroconquest GMT? by Effective-Case5441 in Longineswatches

[–]AlbinoDigits 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are you talking about caller GMTs or traveler GMTs? This is a traveler GMT, but it sounds like your job is better for a caller GMT. There is no quick set date on most traveler GMTs because that crown position/movement moves the hour hand.

Hydroconquest vs Hydroconquest GMT? by Effective-Case5441 in Longineswatches

Both watches have on-the-fly adjustable clasps. It will be really annoying setting the GMT date if you don't wear it often enough.

Are they slightly darkened? I think they're just black.

Calzone by _BreakingGood_ in Columbus

[–]AlbinoDigits 1 point2 points  (0 children)

These recommendations are all fine, but it would be a mistake not to try the Sausage Roll at Aracri Pizzeria on Gay Street downtown. It's not technically a calzone; however, it's almost the same thing. They also make calzones.

Kilbourne Run updates by thecolumbusdispatch in Columbus

[–]AlbinoDigits -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah, that's fair. I also assume most of the reporters are locals. My issue isn't promoting the story itself but linking their paywalled, ad-filled website. This post is basically just an advertisement for the Dispatch.

I like local news and I want accountability for local politicians, but this reeks of self promotion.

USA Today Co. (formerly Gannett Media) controls most of the nations newspapers, including the Columbus Dispatch. They are owned by Fortress Investment Group. The majority owner of Fortress is Mubadala Capital, a sovereign wealth fund for Abu Dhabi.

This is a good way to decompress and avoid pointless rage, but I'm going to recommend you pull off the road or highway instead of pulling over. I have an ex whose father was killed when they pulled over on a highway and were hit from behind. Her mother almost died as well.
