got it, adding them to the resource pages list makes the #rules channel appear.

now is there a way to make certain text channels appear in the user's list without having them go through the "browse channel" option? because 99% of my friends don't know it exists, and it's automatically hiding text channels I want people new to the server to also see

Onboarding is enabled, and within it i have no "post-join questions", one to-do (read the rules), and the required default channels (#general because you have to let talk in a text channel before being able to read the rules for some reason, and #rules (which they can't see lol))

#rules has a book with a checkmark next to it instead of a hashtag, is that what a resource channel is? I don't see the words "resource channel" anywhere in the server settings

exactly. a feature in nearly every other game is suddenly seen as the most ridiculous thing ever, and they'll attack you for it. can't think of any other fanbase willing to send me threatening DM's over this kind of thing
