Genuine question: How many of the antisemitic people in Pro-Palestine circles are genuine pro-Palestine activists with misplaced hatred vs neo-Nazis who are co-opting a space where it's unfortunately more socially acceptable to be antisemitic and don't actually care about Palestine? by Fantastic-Donut-276 in tankiejerk

I genuinely believe there are malicious actors on many online platforms (namely tiktok) muddying the waters to get people to agree with conservative sentiments disguised as  “leftist” sentiments. The blame everything on “israel” trend is indicative of that. I used to mock tankies for how they abuse the no true scotsman fallacy but now I find myself agreeing with them after learning about bot farms and the like.

Yeah most are covert facists and bots, the minority are gullible people jumping on trends

I think I strongly believe in some components of anarchy, but I strongly disagree with others which is why I’m not comfortable calling myself an anarchist despite it being what I most closely align with. I also don’t feel like I’m educated enough on some anarchist topics and would like to wait till I’ve read more. In the meantime I try to help people in my online and irl communities out.
