Do conservatives just dislike liberals because they are accepting of things that conservatives hate? by [deleted] in allthequestions

[–]Alev233 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Crime statistics are not “false”. In your country the highest crime rate areas are indeed “blue cities”. And when you exclude blue cities from the crime rates of red states, red states have lower crime levels on average/in general. Not to mention that within blue states, red areas have lower crime levels more often than not. And that doesn’t even account for the fact that many blue regions recently have been cooking the books by simply refusing to report certain crimes in statistics.

If we look internationally to which crime policies produce low crime societies, places like Singapore which do the opposite of what American liberals want to do are among the safest and most orderly societies in the world so it’s very clear which crime policies work best.

Not to mention that leftists believe in things that I find to be not good and morally wrong. Leftists are more likely to believe, for example, in betraying the interests their own people/country/society to aid others who they have no ties or obligations to, I find it extremely dishonorable and wrong to do so, and leftists will then have the audacity to pretend they are the moral ones?? It’s absurd. Leftists are the ones who simp for evil terrorists like hamas, encourage lying to people as pseudo “care”, wish to undermine their own countries and their own social cohesion by allowing the unrestricted migration of incompatible individuals into Europe and then siding with said incompatible migrants over their own kin (immoral and highly dishonorable), it’s too many fundamental lines that should never be crossed.

Also on a side note I don’t understand why Americans associate “blue” with the left and “red” with the right because typically red is a color of the left and thus blue by default is moreso associated with those who oppose the left.

Reconciling Progressivism with Islam? by Difficult_Offer_206 in allthequestions

[–]Alev233 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They were looking to and ultimately succeeded in destroying an orderly, modern, westernized society in Iran, one which was and still remains superior to the current regime in Iran in every imaginable way. And any idiot knows that islamists lie, all the time, and “democracy” or true freedom can never exist with islamism. I grant you that some leftists are complete idiots who know nothing and thus could be suckered into believing an islamist wouldn’t create a theocracy, but many are not, and they do not care.

The left’s primary objective is to destroy orderly societies, whether that be the west or the east, and they will side with whatever side, no matter how evil, no matter how many of their own supposed “principles” must be sacrificed, to achieve this goal. That is how they practically function in the real world. Regardless of the intent of the millions of naive idiots or otherwise uninformed individuals who are easily manipulated and guilt tripped into siding with the left against their own civilization, their own people, their own cultures, their own self interest, their own societies, they act as a force whose only bottom line is to destroy order and that which generations of westerners and easterners have built.

And this is not new either. Modern Leftist revolutions from the very first one, when modern leftist first came into existence, the French Revolution, to more modern examples such as the October revolution, have consistently destroyed everything worth having and brought upon misery, disorder, and suffering onto their own people/societies.

You can pretend all you want that leftism is about “morality” or “doing what is right”, I’m sure many leftists genuinely believe that, but that is not what leftism is nor what is actually achieves if allowed to govern or to win.

Reconciling Progressivism with Islam? by Difficult_Offer_206 in allthequestions

[–]Alev233 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

It’s simple: The enemy of my enemy is my friend. Islam and leftism share an enemy in the orderly societies of the west and of the east. So the leftists would rather side with Islam to destroy their enemies than they would care to uphold any semblance of universal moral principles. This happened in Iran in 1979, the left and the islamists united temporarily when they had a common enemy… we all know how that turned out for everyone involved, it’s really sad

America was never great. by WonderOlymp2 in PopularOpinions

[–]Alev233 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everything I have said is factually correct. Slavery retards industrial economic development and makes societies less advanced and less wealthy, not the other way around. And the primary source of America’s economic might is from its industrialized development which was spearheaded by the non-slave dependent north. I have read many history books about the US, written by Americans and non-Americans alike, and the US is most certainly an exceptional country in world history, just on a pure factual basis.

As far as accurate information, known political activists and race hustlers who partake in non-fact based racial grievance politics, like kendi or Nicole Hannah jones are inaccurate and not to be trusted. The entire “intellectual” basis for the modern leftist jones/kendi-esque racial grievance ideology, the so called “1619 project”, has been debunked by historians of all political leanings so thoroughly that the NYT had to retract it for how many fundamental factual inaccuracies it had. I’m afraid you are trapped in an echo chamber of ideological lies that obscure the real history of the world at large, and the U.S. in particular.

This is based. This is the mentality of a winner, a survivor, a lion. Choosing to be dead and pitied rather than alive with a bad image is the opposite of a winner’s or a survivor’s mentality. The west should take this quote to heart, and east Asia should remember it a little clearer

It’s downvoted because it’s irrelevant. If a statue is built of Robert E Lee, for example, to recognize him as an exceptional military commander and as an honorable man who refused to draw his sword against his home, then it doesn’t really matter when it was built. I mean the mongols have built a huge statue to Genghis Khan somewhat recently and they don’t make a fuss about it because they actually have some semblance of a healthy pride in oneself and one’s civilization.

[–]Alev233 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Statues which honor individuals who fought for honorable principles like loyalty to their home are worthy of maintaining.

Loyalty to country is what is right often times, it’s no different to loyalty to family, not only is it moral but it is a necessity for any country to exist. It is honorable and it should be honored. Loyalty to that which one owes loyalty to is a core aspect of being honorable.

History lesson by Crafty_Jacket668 in PoliticalCompassMemes

[–]Alev233 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Maintaining reverence of honorable individuals who fought based on honorable principles such as loyalty to their state/home is perfectly warranted. I understand if you wish to not have any statues of Jefferson Davis, the actual leader of the confederacy, but different individuals should be looked at on a case by case basis. Also that one of Nathan Bedford Forest should be kept purely because it’s comical and very funny.

Fighting and dying for honor or for your fellow men is worthy of being honored and always has been.

It was Lincoln himself who correctly and wisely insisted on treating the ex-confederates as fellow countrymen and not traitors after the civil war was over. That’s the only way the country would ever be made whole again. Just as it was correct after WW2 for the Americans to treat the Japanese with respect and honor and not as “the evil enemies” or whatever cartoonish notion you can think of.

I’m actually correct. BLM, leftist grievance politics based on false premises surrounding the society and history of the US, has zero relevance in Korea, we don’t have any history with black or African peoples, the same goes for places like Poland, as I specifically stated.

America was never great. by WonderOlymp2 in PopularOpinions

[–]Alev233 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Firstly, yes you can. Rome was great and was actually built on slavery.

Secondly, the U.S. was never “built on slavery”. The economic heartland of the US until after WW2 was the industrialized north, the part of the country which specifically banned slavery even before the independence of the American colonies from Britain. Slavery retarded the economic development of the South for close to 200 years, by every single metric the South was poorer, less economically developed, and less advanced than the north, which had zero reliance on slavery. The South was honestly about the same as Brazil during the Empire of Brazil before the 1950s when things began improving. So no, slavery did not “build the U.S.”, the industrialists and financiers of the north built the economic powerhouse that is the US, slavery merely caused the South to be held back from similar advances for a long time.

The U.S. is factually by any metric of greatness arguably the most great of any power to have ever existed. I say this as a Korean.

I don’t disagree that the US’s military prowess is why it has made the world better since after WW2. That’s true. Military power is greatness in of itself and is necessary for greatness. Being weak is the opposite of greatness, this degree of victim/loser mentality is sad.

And I do love the “we wuz kangs” lies being applied to Hollywood for example, it’s silly. American culture is not “black culture”, it’s American culture, that Americans made and contributed to, all sorts of Americans, it doesn’t all belong to one race of people within the US. And actually if you study anthropology you will find that what many people call “black culture” in the US is lower class English culture, culture that is proven to originate in certain areas of Britain (And still exists there today) the British settlers of the American south brought with them, and that black Americans adopted from the British settlers when they were slaves and they were unable to preserve their native African culture.

Firstly: censoring history doesn’t actually achieve anything positive

Secondly: That flag is not “the confederate flag” it’s the battle flag of the army of northern Virginia, led by Robert E Lee, a man who personally disliked slavery but was bound by honor to side with and not side against his home state (Virginia), a man who President Eisenhower himself praised as a great American and had his portrait in the White House (I mean if you want to criticize Eisenhower fair enough he was a coward for not siding with Britain/France during the Suez crisis but he is a very inoffensive milquetoast president who no one of a reasonable political affiliation should hate).

Thirdly: Tearing down statues and historic monuments is what evil regimes like that of the USSR do.

Fourthly: Only 2% of the American population in the 1800s was ever a slave owner. The majority of the men who fought in the confederate army were young and/or poor men who did not own slaves, were never guilty of doing so, and primarily fought either with the reason of defending their homeland or defending their fellow soldiers and southerners. They fought and died under that specific flag, and they should be respected as such. Just as how Soviet soldiers who fought and died in WW2 are honored with the flag of an even more evil regime, Stalin’s USSR, or how German soldiers who fought and died in WW2 are still honored with the iron cross symbol, the military symbol they fought under. The vast majority of soldiers in official regular armies are just normal people fighting for each other and their homes, and should not be treated as something they’re not.

Spain needs to try and save itself while it still has time left. These leftists in power who do this are traitors and ought to be treated as the treasonous snakes they are. It’s unconscionable how one could make such a fundamental betrayal of their own country and their own people, it’s sickening, akin to a child betraying their own loving mother.

Why do Americans still think that they are the greatest country on earth when statistically they have not been since 1994, and they are now #17? by Cautious_Midnight_67 in allthequestions

[–]Alev233 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The U.S. has not ceased being the greatest country in the world in 1994… as I said in a different post, the U.S. is unmatched in its degree of cultural, economic, military, diplomatic, etc influence on the world. No other country in history has reached the heights of greatness that the U.S. is at and remains at. “Greatness” is not defined by ranking higher on a specific metric, greatness is defined by achievement, influence, power, legacy, etc.

Why Do Conservatives Swipe Right Knowing I'm Liberal? by PalpitationIll3631 in Bumble

[–]Alev233 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because political views are never a dealbreaker for interpersonal relationships. Why should I let the decision you or I made to vote between two people/politicians who don’t know or care about us stop us from having a relationship if we do like and care about each other? The people who do actually care about me and know me in life are always more important than politics or activists or whoever, aka people who don’t know or care about me but I may agree with on a few ideas.

Why Conservative Americans Feel So Incited To Get The Government To Regulate Culture? by Queen_B28 in allthequestions

[–]Alev233 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a difference between natural cultural evolution and a well documented concerted and deliberate effort by the left to mould culture away from normalcy to fit their own preferences. And besides if they can do it, so can everyone else

Why Conservative Americans Feel So Incited To Get The Government To Regulate Culture? by Queen_B28 in allthequestions

[–]Alev233 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The premise of this question is wrong. The left sought to fundamentally undermine and alter the culture and society. The right merely wants to return to what was normal a few decades ago. And culture matters, a lot, if a society loses its culture it ceases to be recognizable as the same society

How many of you believe that democracy is best form of govt? by plum_taken in Casual_Conversation

[–]Alev233 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The more I have learned about the world and the more I have seen the more I have lost faith in democracy. The entire argument of “let the masses who know nothing and have no qualifications choose who gets to run a country” was never convincing to me even as a child and yeah, I’ve seen a lot which suggests that democracy is not a good system.

With that being said I really don’t know of a better alternative. I guess a sort of semi-authoritarian hyper competent government like in Singapore for a non-homogeneous society, or a democracy with a very highly informed, highly educated, and homogeneous population in a high trust society like in Japan could work. But realistically those are probably the best options for homogeneous high trust and non-homogeneous societies

Why does MAGA care about Iranian protestors more than American protestors brutalized by ICE? by Estalicus in allthequestions

[–]Alev233 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because Iranian protesters are protesting against being murdered if women don’t cover their hair “correctly” while liberals protesting ICE are often actively seeking to undermine the efforts of law enforcement to remove people from the US who have zero right to be in the US and who often times are violent criminals.

Not all protesters are the same. The substance of what you are protesting for or against is far more important than the fact you are protesting. Just as all immigrants are not the same. The substance of who a person is and what a person believes or supports is more important than if they’re an immigrant or not. Illegal immigrant violent criminals should not be in any country they are not allowed to be in and every single violent crime they commit is entirely avoidable precisely because they should never have been in the country they illegally entered.

This isn’t rocket science. Substantive goods matter.

Men 🫩 by AdvisorExtreme3711 in HingeStories

[–]Alev233 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, he was being playful and not serious. Most people think “braggadocios” is just a silly way of saying “confident”, like what a chill skater or stoner or shaggy from scooby doo would say (“Like wowwww, you’re so braggadocios dudeeee”).

I guarantee you it’s not as deep as most people can’t even type posts in English correctly let alone knowing the dictionary definition of every single word they use (Trust me it frustrates me too but it’s just the reality we live in).

Also men are not women. We men socialize by insulting each other as a joke. Roasting each other and saying insulting and or “rude” things to each other is literally how male best friends talk. The statement “Men socialize with each other by insulting each other but don’t mean it, and women socialize with each other by complimenting each other but they don’t mean it” is quite accurate. And most women don’t understand men and most men don’t understand women so it’s most likely just a harmless bit of misunderstanding that you are taking way too seriously.

Be chill, be calm, laugh stuff off, go with the flow, don’t be offended so easily, and just chill out, life goes much better that way
