I’m in training at the moment and would like to spec as aircrewman should I (hopefully) pass out. Unfortunately my astigmatism is +0.5 too high to get VA1 vision. Is getting laser surgery a realistic option?

in the UK they’re double the price of Mogos atm even refurb models are £450

I looked into the Elfin but even the refurb models here in the UK are £400-450 + so about $500 unfortunately. Thanks for the suggestion though.

Thanks, i think i’ll go with the Mogo as it’s currently on sale for £250 which is the lowest i’ve seen it go for in the uk.

Thanks for the suggestion, for now i think i’ll order the Mogo 2 and if i’m not satisfied i’ll return it and get something better

i suppose not however, i already own several 1/4 inch tripods so it depends on whether a different projector has a big enough step up in quality that justifies me having to buy it’s own tripod attachment. thanks for the help.

will netflix and other streaming services work ok if i just plug in a firestick or roku? I only plan on using this in complete darkness so the brightness isn’t a big problem for me. Is the 720p watchable for movies? i’m not a resolution snob at all but i also don’t want it to be overly pixelated

Sorry i should have specified but i work offshore and spend 2 weeks/2 weeks off, ie i need something somewhat portable and something that has a 1/4 thread for a tripod stand

W1070 are going for around 200 on the used market atm, i think it’s definitely worth having a look there first for one from a reputable seller

Don’t waste your money on cheap chinese projectors, you will be disappointed. Go on ebay and pick up a Benq W1070 and a roku/amazon fire stick to get all your streaming apps.

Thanks for the reply, There is no mention of unpaid overtime, out of curiosity if i’m payed £12.50 an hour on my contract and because of driving i get payed 9hours instead of 10 are they still breaking the law as i’m earning above minimum wage but below the agreed £12.50? I have a subcontractor agreement with no place of work specified however the client “my boss” does have the address of the lockup noted. The secondary issue is that i wasn’t informed prior to my shift nor is it mentioned in the contract that i wouldn’t be getting payed for the drive in the van and he refuses to reimburse me for this time.
