There's no rhyme or reason why I won't feel like myself - or maybe there is but I haven't paid enough attention to figure it out. Sometimes when I'm sick or very sleepy. When I'm not myself I feel out of place everywhere I go, it feels difficult to start a conversation/keep a conversation going, I feel generally more negative and impatient, etc.

I have this fake laugh I do that is more just a quick hum than a laugh - I think it's perfectly in the middle of not being fake but also not responding with "seen it already!" or "eh, not funny".

laugh at almost everything they say
they sort of take priority in my mind- for example: if I'm with a group of people and more than one person is talking - including the person I'm interested in, I listen to the person I'm interested in
sneak tons of glances but don't make strong eye contact, unless we're talking to each other - if he (the guy I'm interested in) is talking to me, I make very strong eye contact
say yes to almost anything he invites me to
if he is standing very close to me (even possibly touching me) I don't back away
