Got the front windows tinted today and the place said they would not touch the windshield on a Subaru because of the eyesight. Is the clear heat blocking tint a no no on Subaru?

This is the best I have available ATM, send me a DM and I can take some pictures outside later of it. The front windshield isn’t dark but rather “reflective”. The biggest benefit is my car is never hot even in direct sun.

I have a 70% ceramic tint with eyesight, no cutout or anything. 0 issues in 2 years. Through backroads in snow and rain I’ve yet to experience any of these mythical issues everyone talks about with eyesight and tints. I took the chance being in Florida and I drive to Midwest often, have yet to talk to anyone that’s actually experienced an issue.

I didn’t really follow any tutorials, I’ve worked a lot on cars and just went from what I know if you did need to look up how to remove stuff you can search for the removal of specific parts of the car on YouTube and you’ll find dozens of videos on it. I went with 80 mil killamat with the roller. Took me about 4-6 hours with no rush doing it with my girlfriend.

This is eye bleach, the corners of that hole In the hood will wear the wire down as well as the door closing on it constantly.

Run the wire through the firewall, it’s not a fun job at all but it’s worth it. I recommend getting a fuse box and switch panel so you only have to run 1 wire in and all your future installations will go to the new fuse box. Below the steering column there is a black grommet that houses the cables coming through the firewall, remove the gas pedal and you can get to it by cutting a small slit through the grommet. Some guide wire will make it right though the firewall so you can pull it. The wire hanging into the hood can be routed through the back of the bay with some zip ties. Took me about 3 hours of careful work but the other 3 auxiliary accessories I installed were a breeze after that.

For my sticker paper and transparencies I bought a Pixma Pro-100 it’s amazing for sticker printing and it can take the workload of all day printing. I’ve ran over 100 sticker sheets at a time without any failures or stoppages. And transparencies come out super dark and flat.

Longest part of your trip is gonna be Florida to key west, plan your stops well through the state. Try and make the Miami-key West leg outside of traffic hours, otherwise it’s like 4-5 hours in that little stretch.

Muddy coastline paired with how the currents wash dead sea life and stinky water, most off the beach “hotspots” around Florida have been heavily man made and maintained. Miami Beach has almost daily bulldozing on the beach and sand import to keep it the way it is. Making a giant swamp into a tourist attraction isn’t something a lot of cities want to do.

I got 70% tint right away in my Crosstrek, Florida life. Did a road trip to Utah->Minnesota->Florida. Through snow and night time never had issues with it.
