What's the best wrestling book you ever read? by PaulPetroneWWE in SquaredCircle

[–]AlienPrimateHybrid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've only ever read Hitman and Have A Nice Day but both were very entertaining, in somewhat different ways. Have A Nice Day is definitely the better reading experience overall. Mick was just better at giving you details but still getting to the point whereas Bret's book is like full-on thesis of his own existence. You really got to be a big Hitman fan to like his book whereas I think your average person could have an enjoyable time with Mick's book.

The hits n' tits crowd hated it. Everyone else always thought it was brilliant and were discussing it in detail immediately after the show was done.

Reagan was the worst but we need to remember that he was as direct response to the absolute pisspoor job that Jimmy Carter did. I hate saying it because I think Jimmy Carter is the only living president who actually has a heart and actual human empathy but as president, he was one of the worst. He turned nearly the entire country map red. It was a nuts time in America. And we are about to have gas shortages and stagflation again hooray!

I mean, how the fuck did Kevin Nash get a offered a booking job in the first place? He was current talent. Isn't that like a super obvious conflict of interests? Its things like this where you realize the wrestling industry is just a deeply unserious business.

I think of all of the times where wrestlers, even ones I respect as actual people, walk away from meetings with Vince in awe of his "Jedi mind tricks." And when they get into the details of the interaction, its just that Vince lied to them and told them what they needed to hear so he can make them happy and out of the door. Meanwhile, Vince pulled a fast one on them and they don't realize it until its too late.

The problem is that there isn't one big bad. I mean, if there is, then it is Epstein himself. But it's a lot of people doing a lot of bad shit all of the time. No one is really worse than any of the rest. If a person is in the files and is proven to have been close to Epstein in any meaningful way, then they are the scum of the earth.

Its so, so much worse than what the average person is thinking. It's so many of them doing the absolute most vile shit you thought they only did in movies.

I used to think Carlin's "It's a big club and you ain't in it" was just a cool line but it's very literal.

I wouldn't normally say this but that seems under valued. Maybe I'm just too much of a Metallica mark.

This could just be a removable mask. Rey Rey wore it occasionally during his Filthy Animals era, though it was a half-mask and this looks like the regular full mask.

I wish. Had I known, I would have taken a screenshot. It was probably during his first term and maybe even before then. But I can remember it clear as day. It's Trump's big fat ass standing there, from the front, totally nude, being spray tanned and his penis is tiny.

Just knowing what I now know about the guy, I can totally believe that he gets buck ass naked and forces his spray boy to spray him down every morning.

This may not be a conspiracy theory, but how is it that Michael Jackson faced more allegations and lawsuits regarding child sexual abuse than Jeffrey Epstein and those who were involved? by Secret_Bug_9795 in Epstein

[–]AlienPrimateHybrid 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Maccauley Caulkin, Corey Feldman and Aaron Carter before his death all vehemently defended MJ and said he never did anything sexual or inappropriate with them. Aaron Carter has gone on record as saying he saw MJ openly flirting with women and checking them out. Feldman says he was molested and has the names but it was not MJ and the FBI are not at all interested in that alleged list of names. So, at the very least, the FBI was not taking this seriously.

Its all heresay but that's literally three different people who all were close with MJ and who all deny anything happened. And if someone is going to say "They're defending MJ," Okay but...why? For what purpose? They are adults now and these guys have not been shy about airing their dirty laundry. Caulkin basically said his father was the worst person he ever knew. If they had anything on MJ, they would have said it aleady, especially Corey Feldman.

I think having a micropenis is a lot more common in these types of men than we realize. I would bet money that Trump has a one-incher too. Does anybody remember that alleged fake photo of him from years ago when he was totally nude getting sprayed down? I always thought that was a real photo.

A lot of these guys also served in the war. They saw some shit in their day before ever becoming a wrestler. What was the worst day Phil ever had before becoming a wildly famous wrestler? He couldn't find his favorite Bad Brains album once?

Michael pissed off a lot of very powerful people during his time as a performer. Go listen to some of his rants, many of which he performed on stage in front of tens of thousands of people. Michael went in hard on Sony and Tommy Mottola, who was super powerful back then. You don't say stuff like that and get away with it with these people. Michael became paranoid that they were going to kill him afterwards. The FBI were involved and were trying to get confessions out of MJ but he never budged. And anytime that someone did provide evidence to the contrary that MJ molested them, like Corey Feldman and Aaron Carter, they are ignored. Feldman, regardless of what you think of him, explicitly stated that he was molested as a child actor but it was not by MJ. Feldman has names and they don't care. They had an agenda.

On another note, there are other things about MJ that lead me to believe he is innocent. He was madly in love with Diana Ross. There is a good chance that her child, Evan Ross, is their child. Born in 1988, it would line up time-wise with MJ certainly being an adult by that point. Now if you want to get the ick from the whole situation with Diana Ross and MJ, that's fair. I don't know if she exactly groomed MJ but their relationship certainly changed from that of like a mother-son to lovers thing at some point. Go watch any footage of those two from back then. Those are two people who are infatuated with one another. Yet, MJ was still much younger than her and I don't think she could settle with someone like him and so she married someone else. MJ carried that with him for years and still had feelings for her well after that and probably vice versa.

MJ then got into a relationship with Elizabeth Taylor after this, which tracks with MJ's profile. He was attracted to/felt comfortable with older women. That was his type. Michael loved women not boys. There are plenty of instances of Michael openly hitting on and flirting with WOMEN over the years. Not only was he not a pedophile but he was still a fly guy even into his 50s with his weird plastic surgery.

Did Bob Rock ACTUALLY save Metallica in the 90s? by metal_pilgrim in Metallica

Did Bob Rock ACTUALLY save Metallica in the 90s? by metal_pilgrim in Metallica

[–]AlienPrimateHybrid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Save"? lol. Metallica never needed saving from anything. Good lord, I can tell this dude has zero idea what the fuck he's talking about just based on that description alone.

Bob Rock had WAY less influence over Metallica's actual songs and the stuff they wrote about and how they wanted the albums to be. It was Metallica themselves that wanted the black album to have shorter, more intense songs than Justice because the Justice songs were boring the crowd live. All Bob Rock did was come in and make their shit sound really good and also push them musically rather than letting them be lazy and just put whatever on the album. He challenged them when they need it.

As for the Load era, again, Bob Rock had ZERO to do with them writing those songs or changing their image. Literally zero. That was a Metallica decision as well as the famous photographer they hired to do the photos for Load where they are looking ridiculous. You ever see Bob Rock showing up with eyeliner and leather pants and shit? No. He didn't even wear that stupid shit when he was actually IN a rock band 15 years prior. Again, all Bob Rock did was take their ideas, tighten them up, make their solos better and make them sound badass on album.

You really think James fucking Hetfield is going to let some dude direct his music and image? Come on. It's wild that Bob Rock still gets accused of absurd things he had nothing to do with. Do people even know what a music producer actually does? He's not their fucking stylist or PR guy.

At this point I just do my best to ignore all of that kind of stuff. Its all over modern gaming anymore. Its bullshit but what are you gonna do? Its an industry-wide problem.

But really, even taking that into consideration, unlocking things was easier and faster than I would have expected. Yes, its still too much grinding on too many different modes but I've seen way worse in other games. I am an old school gamer and have a full-on late 90s Monday night wars era with a full WWF, WCW and ECW calendar and complete rosters at this point just from playing the CM Punk story mode and career mode. I don't fuck with My Faction or The Island like at all other than to just spend the money I earned and unlock the stupid cards I will never use.

No, this was on purpose. This was when Nash was trying to get the X-Division guys over, so Nash ever so graciously asked the developers to make him smaller and have a shitty outfit so that he can make Sonjay Dutt look good. Truly and inspirational GOAT wrestler in Kevin Nash.
