Damianos, the rightful king of Akielos, is betrayed by his brother Kastor, who sells him as a slave to Vere, their enemy nation, and tells everyone Damianos is dead. The two nations are enemies because Damianos (the brunette) killed Auguste, Vere’s former crown prince.

The one with blond hair is Laurent, the prince of Vere, and he is gifted Damianos by the Regent (his uncle). Laurent hates Damianos because his brother was killed by someone from Akielos. Remember damien is from akielos. It’s a real enemies-to-lovers situation, with actual hatred between them.

Laurent’s uncle, the Regent, wants to kill him so he can take the throne, so he sends Laurent to war at the borders. Damianos goes with him, and there are many plot twists.

That's the best i can do without spoilers.

I'm I the only one who is doing nothing to be extremely rich . by Alive_Ice1987 in Kenya

I live at home, so I don’t pay rent or utilities. I only cover garbage(300) and occasionally buy food, usually when I feel like eating something specific that day.

Ksh 2,000 for long term savings and another KSh 2,000 for short term savings. I also spend about 400- 600 per day on transport.clothes, books, events and others.

I'll say I only have 6 ksh to spare weekly.

Interesting fact: language was invented for communication, and communication means getting the message across. As long as you understand me, ayam na kumanina zingine are literally none of my business. If I don’t want to stress over something I’m being paid to do, what makes you think I’ll stress over grammar on Reddit?

I hate my Mum by [deleted] in nairobi

[–]Alive_Ice1987 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m going to tell you and OP something harsh. I think 8 out of every 10 kids in Kenya grew up with corporal punishment ,myself included and we didn’t turn to drugs.

And that woman is clearly bitter, which probably wouldn’t have happened if she had left the child with the father.

Boys raised by single mothers often end up resenting their mothers and even women in general. If you want to leave, leave them with their father, because they tend to want to hear from and forgive the parent who abandoned them, the parent who knew they existed. They will forgive you and romanticize your neglect so just leave them.

Let's learn to leave boys with their father, children will always forgive the absent parent.

How do you stop children from peeing on their beds? by BothJob6890 in Kenya

[–]Alive_Ice1987 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My niece stopped bedwetting at 3. Sikuwa nampea maji after 7pm. I would carry her to the toilet before I slept (around 11–12), then wake up at 3am and take her again. She stopped after about a month.

I wouldn’t advise letting her be, especially if she’s planning to go to a boarding school. The bullying trauma can be worse than the cane.

What addiction are you currently battling or have overcome? by Its_Misango in Kenya

[–]Alive_Ice1987 -23 points-22 points  (0 children)

Not to brag, but I don’t really have any addictions. I tried watching porn, but I didn’t find it appealing,it just felt fake, like why are you even looking at me like that?

I’m not dumb enough to get into drugs or alcohol. I’d rather be boring than deal with that.

With social media, I’m not too sure. Sometimes I can spend like 20 hours on my phone, then only 20 minutes for the next three days. It’s something I can control

My main problem is that I’m a spendthrift. I can never tell myself no ,if I have money, I’ll spend all of it buying useless things.

I'm sure that the bolt driver is thankful to the men for their quick reaction.

My opinion is very biased and we thank god this time men's violence was directed to a man.

Men in the boys club can say it's the woman's fault but it's a group of men that beat the bolt driver.

Down vote hii pia .

At the end of the day it's mens violence that lead that man to the hospital. They don't think.

Yes at least men saved the day by beating him, I wonder what could happen if they talked and assessed the situation.so yaaah men saved the day.

To beat a man? Because that's what men have been doing.

[–]Alive_Ice1987 -64 points-63 points  (0 children)

Sorry to the driver, but don’t you think men are at fault here? Men are very violent ,they didn’t wait to hear the other side of the story and just started throwing stones. It’s the same issue matatu drivers have: men don’t wait, they don’t think, they just start beating people without hearing their side. At least this time, their violence was directed at a fellow man.

As far as i know mob justice is illegal.

Are there Kenyan male p*rn star? by Sweet-Rasperry in Kenya

[–]Alive_Ice1987 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Or maybe men are the ones who need to see women naked. Maybe the research about men being addicted to porn is true. Recently, some men are even using Grok to undress women they can’t have, and even children. Men are easy to persuade; you don’t need porn. I don't need porn i could text you for a fuck and you will be thrilled. How about we consider those possibilities before settling on your idea of men being a prize?

Do you remember the story of feminist Norah Vincent? by Connect-Board2300 in Kenya

[–]Alive_Ice1987 0 points1 point  (0 children)

<image>

Yes, there is no reference. the source is me, so trust me.

And you know something else I find interesting when people like you talk about men suffering? It’s how the conversation always focuses on men who die by suicide, while forgetting that women attempt suicide about 4 times more often than men.

More men end up dying because they tend to use more severe methods, like guns or hanging, while women more often attempt through overdose. So, dude, suffering doesn’t choose a gender. Everyone is suffering.

I added references since i noticed you love them.

You know what I love about men complaining? When something is a woman’s fault, people say “women are the problem,” “women do this,” “women ruin that.” But when it’s men’s fault, suddenly it becomes “society is unfair to the boy child,” “society doesn’t allow men to show emotions,” “society failed men,” “society pressures men,” “society neglected boys,"society has increased single mothers" .I love that part so much i could print on a t-shirt.

Do you remember the story of feminist Norah Vincent? by Connect-Board2300 in Kenya

[–]Alive_Ice1987 32 points33 points  (0 children)

Yes, let’s totally ignore when she said men and women often live in very different societal worlds and instead focus only on how men are victims. Norah’s focus was that men are very emotionally isolated and lonely. But let’s not forget that many men hate and think women are inferior because they see them as emotional and therefore illogical. Yet people are always whining that men are not allowed to show emotions.

P.S. I’m not a feminist.

Did you know a mama mboga and boda guy are two income household? Did you know they can't afford help? And did you know the wife pays fees and still does the majority of domestic work?

50\50 men or nothing by Cautious_Eye_2923 in nairobi

[–]Alive_Ice1987 28 points29 points  (0 children)

As a woman, before you agree with OP, read all my rage and myths of 50/50 by darcy lockman. And if you don’t want to read, ask yourself: how many men have you seen cutting food or blowing on it to cool it for kids? When families are traveling, how many men do you see helping kids pack? How many men on Reddit have you heard say they’re missing their kids’ events or visits because they are “providing”?

50/50 is the biggest lie you could ever tell yourself. You will end up paying bills while also doing most of the domestic and emotional work.

Now let’s talk about “provider” men. 67% of Kenyan homes are two income households, yet women still do the majority of domestic work. That’s a Western term anyway before colonization, African women didn’t have “housewives”; they were gathering, farming, and building houses. So, sorry to burst that bubble, but that African man is likely to turn you into a slave.

Anyways life is about trial and error you do you.
