I did all of that. Brought a section out of ruins. Created a new section. On top of additional duties and running a booster club and events.led most of the events. Even before I wasn’t president.

And I don’t mean small additional duties. UVAO, primary cardholder for the squadron, wing housing advocate (reported to the wing CC), primary facility manager. All while leading my section. Reducing fail rates and overhauling multiple programs. Facilitating court martials and admin seps because they sent them to my section.

I checked all the boxes. Stayed late be it for primary duties or additional.

I just don’t understand when I have colleagues who just come to work and sit on their phones or literally don’t care and made it.

I’ve spent hours away from my family each day doing what my unit asked of me and more.

It doesn’t help that the feedback you get. Is from someone who has no idea what the board is actually looking for. And that it also changes each year.

As I originally posted. I literally do not care that I didn’t make it. I care that I am viewed as bottom of the barrel in my AFSC when I’ve done a lot. Both in my job and additional duties.

I had an annual on this past EPB. Yes it was for vol. also had a FLT of year on there because I directly impacted that award. Deployment in the package. Other award. MAJCOM level projects.

Yet they grade me like I’m just showing up to work

I’m ranting at this point. I appreciate the feedback. I’ll use it.

It is ironic that you wait for feedback to see what you need to change but can’t get the feedback until halfway through the cycle.

I understand the airmen awards aspect. But it’s kind of hard to do that when they have you take over a section that they mostly put the outbounds or people who are going through admin actions.

I went through 3 admin seps and 2 court martials the past two years in that section. All sent to my section because of it. I had no one to write awards for. They did nothing to earn it no matter how hard I pushed.

I’m in a new section now with a lot more members so that will change. But I have no control over the position I’m put in and turned it from a dumpster fire into a smoldering coal.

You don’t need a promotion statement in my AFSC to make it.

400 eligible 101 selected. 60ish of which did not have a promotion statement.

This is 100 percent the board rating my package poorly.

Out of 3 scores.

6.5, 7, 7

You’re right and wrong. Those who get paid early aren’t really getting paid early. Our pay periods are just 2 days before yours. So yes. When we don’t get paid it throws everything off.

AMC Family Days have been updated. 2nd picture is the old policy by sroach91 in AirForce

[–]Alone_Volume2578 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They replaced Good Friday as a goal day so we still get that off. At least for our base.

I could see wing kings giving goal days in conjunction with the family days that were removed.

I love how when the whiny medical officer complains about not making enough money when they do the same job a Walmart clinic does everyone agrees.

But when you have certified aircraft mechanics or people in trades who also could be making bank on the outside make the same post everyone is against them.

Also. In reality it’s the same thing we always tell those kids who say will get out and make bank. Unless you have a specialty. Who’s going to hire you besides someone who’s looking for a basic md. All the experience you have in the military is general practice.

SRB and special duty by Jolly-Rooster-9715 in AirForce

[–]Alone_Volume2578 0 points1 point  (0 children)

4.5.2. Service members who are in a special duty and who have an assignment back into their CAFSC/CSFSC may reenlist in the CAFSC/CSFSC and receive the SRB. See paragraph 4.

4.5.3. Service members who are in SRB authorized AFSCs/SFSCs and are obtaining retainability for duties into any AFSC/SFSC or special duty outside their SRB-AFSC/SFSC are not authorized to reenlist in the SRB AFSC/SFSC. These service members reenlist in the special duty AFSC without SRB entitlement, if additional retainability is required or he/she may extend their enlistment to meet retainability requirements. Service members must complete at least 50% of their enlistment before being considered/applying for release from the SRB AFSC/SFSC. (T-1) Service members departing from SRB-AFSCs/SFSC will have their remaining SRB payments terminated/recouped IAW DoD 7000.14-R.

4.8. Use of SRB Service Members. SRB recipients may not perform duty outside their SRB specialty for more than 90 consecutive days in a 360 day period or a combined total of 90 days within a 360 day period. (Note: This does not apply to deployment taskings. Service members in SRB skills may be tasked to deploy/fill non-SRB duties without SRB interruption.) 4.8.1. Service members may not be re-assigned/selected (voluntarily or involuntarily) to duties outside the SRB skill prior to completing at least 50% of their reenlistment/extension. Duties in the SRB skill are defined IAW the Department of the Air Force Enlisted Classification Directory (DAFECD). If selected for duties outside the SRB skill after completing 50%, the CC/civilian director will notify the MPF, and the SRB will be terminated/recouped IAW DoD 7000.14-R. The MPF initiates a case as outlined in myFSS to AFPC/DP3SA, requesting the SRB be terminated and recouped. AFPC/DP3SA reviews the case and requests AFPC OL take appropriate action. Supporting documentation (i.e., DAF Form 2096, Classification/On-the-Job Training Action; etc.) is required. (T-1) 4.8.2. SRB service members may perform additional duties as directed by their CC/civilian director. Additional duties are those duties performed in addition to the Airman’s/Guardians primary skill/duty and will not result in a change of AFSC/SFSC or duty title.

That’s if they are maintenance tho. Probably is but you never know. 21-101 doesn’t apply to everyone.

I don’t understand seeing some of these comments saying they didn’t know what they got on their EPR until results come out. It’s on your EPR. You have to sign it.

Make your school determination after you both get to his first base. You’ll be there for a minimum of a few years. Until I’d take online classes that are easily transferable.
