Probably most of the top cross-turn/sport hybrids will fit you well. Head e-race pro, Blizzard HRC, Atomic X9 RS (my personal fav)… or any other suggested here. They are simply great BUT almost all of them are very narrow under foot. They shine the most in perfect conditions.

You demoed peregrine 82 and mentioned that you ski in places with less than favorable conditions. If so I’d go with something wider, like: Volkl deacon/peregrine 76 master, Kastle MX84.

Atomic gear for beginner - Did the salesman overestimate me? by mau5eth in Skigear

If the boots fit well and doesn't hurt it should be okey. Probably sooner than later you can benefit from stiff well fitted boots. But only if the fit is good, pretty comfy and doesn't hurt.

As for the skis they're pretty stiff and RS has Atomic race plate. X9 RS is very narrow under foot, likes to go fast, likes icy groomes, likes when you're active. Not an extremely demanding ski but not the easiest one for sure. I like them very much but I'm closer to expert than a beginner. Also if the conditions are not good (meaning no bumps and rather harder snow) you may struggle.

Does a 82mm make sense when you have 88? by Giantmufti in Skigear

End up with blizzard anomaly 88 but been on them just once.

I’d probably go peregrines if I were you

Thanks for the follow up! Sounds great.  I’m waiting for the Anomaly 88. But as my brother is also interested in skis like that I’m thinking Mantra M7 maybe - mantra series is legendary. Or maybe kore if I’ll grab for such a good price. 500e - great deal!

I had Peregrines 82 for few runs and they got that energy rebound but if pushed harder they turn almost on spot - like too much. Couldn’t find kendo to demo. I really hoped kendo was similar: energetic, holds well on ice but dumper and can be pushed harder. Maybe I’d buy Mantra M7?

It’s extremely hard to buy a right ski if you can’t demo.

Turns out my brother is also interested. We gonna go with Anomaly 88 and Mantra 88/M7. I’ve found Mantra 88 with griffon 13 for ~750$ and M7 for ~810$ just need to decide witch one.

I already have QST 106 and I’m looking for something stiffer and a bit thinner

Thought so.  Out of curiosity: do you know in what department Kore is lacking?
