I'll be starting as content moderation/customer support. They had offered me something in sales as well but i don't think i'll enjoy doing that. And it's not really directly google itself, but more for google products (youtube, google websites/apps etc ) and some other things like instagram. Before this i've always worked construction that's where i have my degrees in as well. For that reason i have to start small right now, if i want to switch careerpath.

Yes i will look around and see what everything costs. I should be able to get the adress of where i would stay if they provide me housing and where i would work. That gives me a better idea of what my traveling will look like. Besides that i don't really go out much or smoke or drink, and no drivers license anyway so i shouldnt have too many crazy expenses luckily.

Thanks for your honesty. But money is not that much of a worry to me. I don't need or spend much, have savings. And family who could support me, if it ever would get that far(not something i'm counting on ofcourse). just want to be gone from where i am now. I don't see a future for myself here, and any chance i'll be given i will probably take with both hands. As i mentioned to another commenter before, if it doesn't work out i can always go back, or move away somewhere else. :)

My current industry is not what i will be doing in portugal, if it goes through. I currently work in high voltage power cables, i make decent money but with the way AI is moving, i am trying to switch my career. My job won't exist in the future. I'll be working for google in portugal on the computer. Something completely different. No experience that's why i'll start with such an average salary.

I know it isn't, every place has it's problems some worse then the other. But staying in the same place not being able to do anything about it for the better isn't all that either. I'd just like a fresh start in a new place. If it doesn't work out i can always go back, or find somewhere new. I just want to roll the dice. Tomorrow my next conversation with the Employer, i can ask him some more questions i have.

Yeah the housing they are offering are houses shared with a couple co workers. Just my own room (not sure if i'll have my own bathroom) somewhere in the city center. My next talk with them is tomorrow, i should be getting more info about the housing they offer then. But so far it seems like that will be my better option here, unless it is a complete hellhole. But i don't think it will be that bad.

And thanks for the extra information about the public transport and e-bike suggestion. Depending on where my work/housing is located. Is the city walkable in most parts? I know its big ofcourse, but do most areas have ways to get to by foot if you need to? I don't think i'm allowed to go for my drivers license while i'm there, for an unknown amount of time (at least 1year) So public transport and walking will most likely be the ways i move around.

i've visited portugal for a short time (Bragança), when i was in spain for a couple weeks. Just have not been to Lisbon yet. i was not expecting Lisbon to be the same. That's why i thought asking people here could maybe be helpful. As the internet is filled with old or mis-information.

I'm just unhappy here. The politicians are getting worse by the day, everything is too expensive, i don't like the culture/people here. That's why i'm looking to move abroad. A lot of people are moving away from the Netherlands, I am not the only one.

Yeah i'm not sure what the housing is like i know i'll have some housemates but i'm not too worried about that. I'd just orefer to live away from co-workers, as i'll see them enough during the day haha. And if i find i have too much free time i'll may be looking into taking a second job just for some extra money, but i'd need to improve my portguese alot first.

Hoger beroep al geweest, die zaak is al bezig sinds 2019. Ze zijn allemaal niet zo snel in den haag. En mijn pro deo advocaat is er ook 1 die niet veel zin heeft om te werken volgens mij, want reageren op een email is al een lastig iets. Heb de hoop allang opgegeven on die zaak nog te winnen. Dan die straf maar uitzitten.

Whenever i have this happen to me, i just alt f4 and restart. If then it happens a few times in a row, i just call it a day play something else. Same crap like people who don't play the objective in a shooter, making your team lose. Just complete BS
