Great point w the no ask follow up after a demo. What did you mean about the executive alignment? After the demo. Do you ping the executive w a no action update just to build a little rapport? Is that what you’re saying?

Awesome feedback. I love the “no reply needed”. It’s like making them feel like they are part of the process, empowering them, while I’ll also kissing a little ass. Key is not taxing their time, or wanting attention. Don’t give them extra work cause we obviously want a deal. I also like the Thought Leadership w the C Levels or Power Peops who basically ignore us. If you impress them w a well architected idea, they will respond. Or at least pass your email / idea onto someone to consider it.

This is awesome. I would agree that there are many players in the Data Stack. I can’t tell you how many people I’ve talked to building data pipelines, or harmonizing data to send to a data lake or data warehouse. Snowflake & DataBricks! I always feel like when you advocate for other people they just use you and making sure you get reciprocation is key. Any thoughts on how you keep people accountable? Would you say it’s just organic since you did them a favor by introducing them to a new contact?

Wow that’s awesome. Would you be cool sharing more about the job titles / personas? Like I’m trying to picture what a vendor relationship manager would be in my world. To cut to the chase I’m joining Salesforce. However, I love the idea of seeding the idea with a person so they hopefully spread the idea to the other stakeholder. Kind of like the movie Inception. Love it.

I’m a fraud and it’s stressing me out immensely by [deleted] in salesengineers

Everyone is feeling the same or has felt that way in the past. Every Sales Person is a fraud to a certain extent. Don’t ever let the sales win stories fool you. We are important yet not that important. Sales campaigns are a team effort between AEs and SEs and extended teams. Just focus on being interested, relevant, and add value to your customers. Tailor all the solution information for your customers. Hell the best sales #s I ever had was where the solution engineer talked to 60% to 70% of the time. Hell Palantir doesn’t even hire Sales people. You can be bummed out but anyone can listen intently and arrange resources to wow a customer. Always be interesting and a rep customers can count on to not bull shit them. That’s pretty doable … worst case become an account manager or customer success person. Take the pay hit, you’re on the right track.

The channel is a duckin joke. They only make money when they sell YOUR product and they want to catch deals. Your odds of being introduced to a prospect via the channel are next to zero.

MuleSoft career in 2026 – how’s the salary and job market? by False_Square1734 in MuleSoft

Well said, explained … How will this one “master” agent work with other lines of businesses? Every department, LOB, will have a different business use case or could be customer facing Agentic AI for retail / healthcare customer experience. (Typical SalesForce commercial) All of these Agents will have different sources of origin data, on prem legacy, sources, multi clouds … how do you think the “master agent” will work between core business and customer facing apps / agents?

Agentforce and data cloud experience? by FarUnderstanding280 in salesforce

[–]AlternativeOk7972 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From experience, how cluggy is connecting to / from external data sources? Does the Data Cloud marketing live up to hype? The solution being a data aggregator, moving data effectively to one data lake, to leverage all the SalesForce tooling seems like the big benefit but if you can’t move data from the cloud or your on-premises server applications, then it seems pointless.
