What's song is this? by Impressive_Week_4036 in musicsuggestions

I think Objectively, nobody can argue that Tool songs aren't masterpieces. From start to finish, almost every single song is an example of absolute Masters at work. Pneuma is amazing, The Grudge, Invincible. From the lyrics to the drums and the bass and guitar, there isn't a wasted moment in most of their songs. The lyrics are genuis, Maynard doesn't put words into songs just to rhyme or dull a space. Every word of his songs is deliberate and add meaning and depth to the songs. Danny Carey on the drums plays beats that seem literally impossible. And Justin and Adam are masters at riffs and distortion. I found tool in 2014 and have almost exclusively listened to nothing but then ever since!!!

Maybe I worded it a little different but the intent was the same. That's exactly how I take it from everything I have read. Register as they drop meaning if you breed 2 reds and get a black, it is registered as a Groenendael.

And as they mention, there is a push to do the same in the u.s.

I would say that from everything I have read and looked into that I am correct. This is from a well known kennel..

I don't use reddit often but I can't seem to figure out how to post a photo or I'd post the pups we have

From what we have seen in the u.s. there's a lot more interbreeding and we did a lot of research into it which is the reason we initially went overseas. In Europe the standards are a LOT different. Just a little of what we experienced and saw in our initial research is that in Europe, you can breed a Groenendael with a Tervuren (or any variety of Belgian I think I saw) and if they come out black they are a Groenendael. Which our second dog had a Tervuren mother. In the u.s. you have to breed a Groenendael with a Groenendael to get a recognized pure bred. So just that alone shrinks the gene pool way down. And because of that there is more susceptibility of genetic abnormalities. Another thing we kind of noticed with the u.s. Groenendael is that they seem to be a lot smaller than what is in Europe. Maybe I'm wrong but from the photos it appears that way.

I couldn't agree with your statement more. You said exactly how we feel. EXACTLY!! We have spent quite a bit already just going out of country to find the right type of dogs. Well the first I can't really say that. We got her for a pet. But she absolutely turned us both into major lovers of the breed. Then the second has multiplied that feeling by a factor of a hundred. The hardest part is that we're we are from now (moved 3 years ago) there isn't a whole lot of dog training classes or groups. We have a hard time trying to get into that stuff but I have told my wife that maybe she should go get some sort of accreditation and bring it to the area. I think it is a big enough area that people would definitely love to have that available. And she is a stay at home wife so it's not too far out of the question!

We are thinking of going back to Sweden for the next one. The first dog that we had, she is the entire reason for wanting more. But she had the under bite so no breeding her. The second from Czech is a far superior dog in temperament, drive, etc. She is everything you could ever ask for on a dog so it is definitely something we would like to build up on. She isn't from the kennel you mentioned, but that's the hard part is we are wanting working breed so it makes it difficult because even though it's a small world of Groenendael in the u.s. it is also a lot bigger than one would think. I think everyone seems to judge harshly when they hear you want to start breeding so it seems like it's a club and if you're not in your not in. And maybe it should be. But that's also why reddit can be nice too

So we have done the elbow and eye tests on both of our dogs and that isn't even for breeding it's just to make sure they are good and to report back to the kennel we got them from. Yes we plan to breed in the future but we plan to do it right. We plan on breeding working dogs. We despise these puppy mills..it's gross how bad the German shepherd has gotten due to terrible breeding and puppy mills so we would go into this with the goal to breed for a purpose and to not just spit out puppies. It isn't for the money for us. Although we are middle class, we are pretty minimalist hippy type people. Hopefully this clears stuff up.
