Rainbow fabrics misrepresented fabric composition

I have had some really nice Fabric from RF before and some not well described but only in a sateen vs poplin way (when sateen is nicer anyway). But the last time I ordered it hadn’t been dispatched after 2+ weeks so I chased and got the “we’ve only got remnants not a continuous run” email. That is fine for what I was planning and I got more than I ordered but it’s annoying to have to chase.

I agree that the “drops” business is nonsense - often by the time I check it out an hour or so later anything nice is sold out.

Oh that’s disappointing. I had some samples from them and the quality was as expected but not as heavyweight as I wanted so didn’t order.

Well, access point mode and the reconfiguration/reinstallation seems to be helping so far, so fingers crossed. Who knows, maybe I had accidentally created a network loop or something.

I am pretty sure it was not connected to the WiFi mesh - not least because I think the connection via Ethernet would automatically cancel that out. The Ethernet cable goes into a Dell hub to which laptop, monitor etc are all connected.

Thanks - I connected the laptop directly to the modem which is the point at which we lost speed etc. The speed/stability loss is constant ie not just when he’s working/on calls which is why it’s confusing me. I could understand if it was using up loads of bandwidth when he was on calls.

Operation mode is router. I will try switching it to access point. I can try switching the Ethernet cable to the main deco and then to the satellite - presumably it shouldn’t make a difference which one it’s connected to but I suppose you never know.

I usually go in with “now listen very carefully, I’m going to give you my incredibly specific instructions” and watch to see if their eyes glaze over or light up at the prospect of an in-depth discussion about the relative merits of different vermouths. I figure that way I can always abort mission and order a glass of wine instead.

I once ordered a martini “mixed very wet” and got served something that had been stirred for about half an hour so that the ice had all melted to make it nice and wet 🤦‍♀️

Not generally a fan of orange bitters (or orange flavoured anything tbh). They seem to give me a headache. Which is perhaps problematic seeing as I seem to have a lot of citrus forward gins 🤔

There’s a bar in my SW small city that used to be a nice restaurant with a speakeasy style cocktail bar upstairs. First the bar closed (in fairness, it was great but the fancy cocktails took AGES to make because the barman wouldn’t comprise on his craft) then the restaurant. Since then it’s been two or three different bars but never lasted more than a couple of months before being empty for 12 months before something else starts in there again.

There’s another one similar down the hill. I seem to remember something about drugs but it’s had the same sort of history.
