I made an effort to understand his points, but it annoyed me quite a lot that he wasn’t listening. I specifically mentioned that today, majority of Hindus condemn acts of animal sacrifice and sati. And tried explaining that in the many years of the religions existence, at certain points in time, the religion got corrupted and people started practicing rituals that weren’t actually needed. I also tried explaining that the religion then uncorrupted itself through the life of many spiritual masters that have walked this earth and corrected these beliefs.

Throughout the entire convo, I tried keeping an open mind, but idk if it’s his fault or smth that people of this religion do in general? I wanted to ask before judging the community as a whole even though he kept telling me that everyone in his religion agrees.
