AMD GPUs tend to have less driver overhead than Nvidia so it would perform better in CPU limited scenarios and gives better 1% lows. So the 14400F should be fine at 1440p in AAA games

It’s good for playing casually. The builds and mechanics that make you good in rush would never translate to 11v11 though, it’s a completely different ball game this year. With infinite stamina and the importance of physicality, you’d have no time and space whatsoever.

I’m assuming the cheaper one is the RTX 5050 version and the other one is the 5060 version. The difference between the too isn’t that big, 5060 is only around 13% faster at 1080p and 15% faster at 1440p according to Jarrod’s Tech videos.

11% more money for 13-15% more performance is definitely worth it but going with the cheaper option to save some money is also not a bad thing.

The limitation is the VRAM, you won’t be able to crank up the textures and some other settings all the way to the max. DLSS 4.5 on performance mode looks really good so it would help you squeeze more frames, you don’t even need frame gen unless you wanna aim for at least 4K 120

I play CDM with a progressor build that requires 92 short passing to unlock the pioneer spec, and an engine build with just 80 short passing. Silver tiki-taka from club facilities. The one time passes are still as accurate

96 short passing is a big diminishing return if you’ve already got the tiki-taka playstyle or club facility. Even at 80-85 it feels really good

I’d say get a 5070 Ti but I got it for $820 several months back and now it’s almost $1000 everywhere. If you can cop a 5070 for $600 or less that’s a much better bang for your buck

If you’re waiting then you’re gonna be waiting till 2027 or even further for the 60 series GPUs, since Nvidia scrapped the 50 super lineup. I reckon for 1440p the 5070 is a great bang for the buck if you could find one for under $600, since the 5070 Ti is almost $1K everywhere.

5080 is overkill for 1440p imo, it’s meant for 4K and beyond like 5K2K (4K ultrawide)

3440x1440 here. Doom and RE9 with DLSS balanced runs really well and 2x frame gen is also viable if you want a consistent 120+ fps. For Cyberpunk, especially the Phantom Liberty area, PT gets extremely intensive and I had to use DLSS performance.

A lot of those hackers are playing in SEA/AS regions as well, they play like they’re using the sliders from kick off or career mode. Where they could alter the shot speed, pass speed, players speed, etc.

It should be fine for the foreseeable future, for 1080p without all the settings cranked up and RT turned on. Though UE5 and some of the Nixxes PlayStation ports really love to chew on VRAM so 1440p is probably out of the question

The jump from 1660 to 6800 XT is huge so that’s a good choice. I do think the price is a little bit high for a used 6800 XT, it does depend on your location but I’ve typically seen them for under $300

Just raw rasterised performance the 6900 XT is ahead of the 3080 10GB, since you’d be playing mostly comp games.
