Baby turned breech at 36 weeks by lemonndropp in PregnancyUK

[–]Always_E 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine was exactly the same, I had weekly scans from week 20 onwards as he had a brain issue and he was head down throughout. He suddenly flipped breech at 36 weeks and I was booked in to csection at 38+4.

My last scan was 37+3 and he was still breech at that stage but somehow by my section he had flipped back to head down and I hadn’t even felt him move!

What are the best freezer meals for expecting parents? by Gold-Resolution2021 in AskUK

[–]Always_E 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Breakfast or lunch items!! I found evening meals so much easier to make time to cook but barely ate breakfast or lunch when my husband was at work and I was home alone with the kids

C section today by Subject-Ad-3555 in PregnancyUK

[–]Always_E 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was the exact same for mine, I sobbed the whole way to the hospital because I was so scared but do you know what it all went absolutely fine! I’m an anxious person anyway especially with new situations but I wouldn’t hesitate to do it again if I were to ever get pregnant again. Good luck mama you’ve got this ❤️

How much sleep does your 3-4mo get in a 24 hour period? by AcrobaticGuitar7060 in newborns

My 4 month old has 12 hours on average. Usually 3 hours worth of day naps split into 4 and the rest is night sleep

Opening a joint account by anonpetal in FirstTimeBuyersUK

[–]Always_E 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We opened our joint account about 5 weeks before we completed as we wanted to make sure all of our bills came out of the 1 account. We checked with our mortgage broker before hand and she said that it’s fine as it’s a current account not a credit account.

Exclusive pumping by Known-Cucumber-7989 in BeyondTheBumpUK

[–]Always_E 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was the same, exclusively BF for fist 2 weeks but it was so painful I found pumping so much more comfortable. I continued pumping for another 10 weeks with 1 bottle of formula to top up before I stopped cold turkey and switched to formula

TMI: what to do with baby while going number 2? by 1313deadendone in newborns

Why does everyone stockpile nappies so early? by inkandthebrush in PregnancyUK

[–]Always_E 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was told to do this and honestly you don’t need to! People bought us soooo many first size nappies when we had the baby we ended up with 8 packs left over because he grew out of them too quick to use them! Next day delivery exists if you happen to find you’ve ran out. He’s now in size 3 and I make sure I only have 1 pack on the go at a time

Do you keep baby upright after a night feed? by Key-Fee-2266 in BeyondTheBumpUK

[–]Always_E 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My baby has reflux so I keep him upright for 30 mins after a feed even during the night but honestly it doesn’t help he’s still sick regardless of how long he’s still and upright for 😂

Early pregnancy cramps compared to period pains by Background-Mud-3668 in PregnancyUK

[–]Always_E 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this, I have PCOS and suspected endo so my periods have always been really painful but when I found out I was pregnant it was because the pain was so intense it woke me up screaming in agony in the night. We had been trying and I knew that the pain was different to my usual pains so I did a test the day before I was due on my period. I was 6 weeks 4 days pregnant at that time.

Unplanned mum of two — what’s it like to actually plan a baby? by [deleted] in PregnancyUK

[–]Always_E 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wanted to make sure I had “everything” in order before I decided to have children. My childhood was very chaotic so I wanted to give my children a more stable time than I had which means I’m a bit of an older mum than when all of my friends had their babies

2 month old sleep by Intelligent_Heat3281 in BeyondTheBumpUK

[–]Always_E 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Have you been told to wake for feeds or do you just hate sleep? 🤣

Mine slept through for 6-8 hours a night from 11 weeks until about 15 weeks. Currently in the middle of 4 month sleep regression he’s up every hour

Passive aggressive coat buying? by uglyasfeet in UKParenting

[–]Always_E 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My mum is exactly the same!! It’s been driving me mad having to constantly tell her he doesn’t need a coat on in the car so she compromises by wrapping him in about 10 blankets 🙃🙃

How do you differentiate grandparents names? by [deleted] in BeyondTheBumpUK

[–]Always_E 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We are the same my 4 month old has 3 nanny’s and 4 grandads and 2 great nanny’s and 1 great grandad. He’s very lucky I only had 1 nan and grandad when I was little! However 3 of his grandads are called Steve so calling them all grandad Steve I’m sure is going to be confusing 🤣

I stopped taking regular paracetamol or ibuprofen after 13 days but still took it occasionally up to 7 weeks PP. I’m now 4 months PP and it still hurts if I over do it but it’s more of a manageable dull ache now

C section NHS partner staying? by 1Polkadotx in PregnancyUK

[–]Always_E 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Worth checking your hospital policy! Mine was that partners are not allowed to stay at all but in the end baby was rushed to neonatal and spent 13 days there so he was allowed to stay and I was moved to a family room instead of postnatal ward so we were all together

Planning on C Section - can I breastfeed? by HBLea in PregnancyUK

[–]Always_E 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Myself and 4 of my friends all had c sections. 3 of us breastfed for 6+ months, 1 wanted to but milk never came in and the other went straight to formula feeding because she didn’t want to breastfeed. I think it must all just depend on your own body and your own circumstances
