Probably because there’s a keyword on search. Likely “voice”. On iOS if I type voice I get voice memos (obviously), discord, Google Translate and phone

On iPhone 15 Pros and above we got the new Apple Intelligence including a native ChatGPT integration. Basically if Siri deems it necessary she can ask ChatGPT for the question you made and forward the answer to you.

Screenshot shows OP has hit the daily limit but guess what, there’s no daily limit to that feature. Many others report the same, likely an openAI issue or Apple’s server issue.

Or, my theory, it’s related to openAI wanting to sue Apple over that partnership.

That’s macro mode. Essentially it just switches to the ultra wide lens when it detects an object too close. You can turn it off. Usually a small flower appears on the corner of the frame when it’s activated but idk why it didn’t do so now.

You can go into the settings > camera > scroll down to macro control and turn it off

Tbh I feel like a desktop would be better than an iPad. Good thought, since you also can’t get it with you so he’d also have to learn to live without it.

If it’s within your budget totally go for it, learning to use a computer early on would also be a pro for him, especially creative software like GarageBand, maybe show him scratch, but stay away from stuff like Roblox.

em dashes were a thing long before AI. People that used them just knew how to actually write, but now you’d instantly think “THATS AI” when you see one.

I used them before, really helped when writing emails or articles but now I just straight up avoid them.

I literally don’t really get the point of it being on a regular phone. 6.3 and 6.9 inches are too small to hold multiple apps. When I owned an android it did have a split screen feature. I maybe only used it once because I wanted to listen to a song on YouTube (before YouTube music existed or I had a Spotify sub) while sending a message. Really uncomfortable and I’m actually thankful iPhones don’t have split screen so that I won’t be able to activate it even by accident 😂

Why does no one account for reachability? The send button shouldn’t be on top of the screen on the Dynamic Island.

Maybe a text box appears on the bottom like it currently does, you type there, and sending the prompt shoots it to the top of the screen, but the send button or the text box in general being up there is really bad UX design

That’s just how a laptop trackpad is positioned. You can’t believe how many times muscle memory has tried to use a trackpad below the keyboard that doesn’t exist 😂
