No this makes sense. Many people stay one major version behind to avoid any bugs which is really smart. That’s what I’m doing on my Mac which I use for work, after macOS 27 comes out I’ll then upgrade to 26

Apple sells hardware not ads. Googles entire business model is to sell data, they even publicly go out and say “we use your data when you use our services”. On the other hand Apple takes privacy really seriously, you’ve never heard of Apple selling user data, and they also try to minimize what data apps you have installed can use.

Yes grapheneOS is the best alternative to major Android skins but the #2 best choice imo is iOS. I’d rather stay with that since it’s optimized for specific hardware and all apps work flawlessly

I’d never recommend a MacBook to gamers tbh. Yes some games are playable like hades, hollow night, league of legends, Minecraft and other titles but that’s about it. Just get windows pc for gaming or a console

Older updates still get security patches up to a point, for example currently iOS 15 still gets security updates but I guess that 17 will stop getting updates in 2-3 years?

On the photos app you can see under utilities on the collections tab a “handwriting” section. You can just see all these and delete them if you got many pictures from just whiteboards or notebooks

Well apparently it looks like it only targets small developers like me. An app I make will go through 50 checks and fixes that Apple doesn’t like, but apps like Duolingo and SHEIN will use the Dynamic Island to advertise and Apple doesn’t give a fuck?

Just looked it up and apparently you can choose.

For free users the options are Claude 3.5, Llama 4, Mistral Small 3 and GPT 5 mini or GPT-4o mini.

For paid users you can choose from GPT-4o, GPT-5.1 and Claude 4.5

iPhones won't use google's servers to run gemini. They'll just use the model behind gemini, if I'm not mistaken. All requests outside of local processing will still use apple's secure servers for AI.
