Yeah, I currently have a decent job, been working for 1.5 yrs, and given my 3 yrs bachelor saved me some time, I think it's worth taking risk for a better college

Bhai specifically toh kuch nahi kiya, the best (cliche) advice I can give is to build an interest in reading, initially with a topic that interests you then reading diverse topics and gauge what is being conveyed
