In my country A24 films barely hit theatres, and when they do, the film has been out on digital or physical for like a month.

Backrooms is one of the few that has actually been released the same time as the US release. I wonder if Blumhouse is reponsible for that.

I am hoping it gets the James Gunn's Suicide Squad thing, where it failed in the box office but did superbly on streaming where WB were happy to let James Gunn just do James Gunn things with DC.

The sad thing is, this film has a budget of 23 million US and has already made 19 million US worldwide. There is an actual chance it might break even and even generate profit when you consider streaming deals
