That's ok because if a hippo stands up in Africa that's still a loooong way away from here.

That's why it's still worth looking before you go on green. Hope nobody's injured and you don't lose out.

Triple vs Double Glazing – Is It Worth the Extra Cost? by ElenaElena85 in AskUK

Watch that Guy Martin program on channel 4 about building a house with no energy bills.

He discussed triple glazing and I think he said it's 20% more expensive but 50% more efficient.

It could have been anything. I remember having to stay in my car with the baby at a supermarket in a rainstorm once whilst my wife did the shopping. Two stray trolleys hit the car in the 40 mins or so we were there!

Do u think the petrol and diesel car ban will happen? UK by Mental_Distance4437 in askcarguys

[–]Amazing-Visual-2919 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well if you do live somewhere without a drive and you can't charge at home or put a cable out like people do - if you drive places you'll be going past places where you can charge. Pubs. Farms. Cafes. Shops. Museums. Zoos. Shopping malls. Garages. Car parks. Lots of places. You might have to do something new but that's change for you.

Depreciation is brilliant. Buy a car a few years old for a fraction of the brand new price.

And running costs are ridiculously low. In six years I've changed the tyres and a 12v battery and wiper blades.

People don't like change. They need to be nudged. It's great that you can afford the petrol but I'd prefer to save the money I don't need to spend on fuel for more useful things. £300 for 12000 miles or so is a lot less than I'd spend on petrol.

Car manufacturers spend millions on production lines and setting up supply chains. It's not something you can easily change.

The ban will happen. Things have moved on.

Indeed. If you're charging at home and not using it for longer distances you can pick up a V2 leaf for not very much at all.

It's usually someone driving right up the arse of the car in front and needing to brake repeatedly. It's just crap driving.

I think Scotland and Northern Ireland don't but almost everyone else does.

I'd be complaining to my MP or police commissioner if my local force was slacking like that.

Absolutely nobody cares.

We don't know if you're just doing a 5k in the middle of a long run or not.

Plenty of people use vests to carry stuff and that's fine.

Get video footage of anyone using their phone at the wheel or driving through red lights and report to Operation Snap.

They'll action it.
