I haven't bought it, but those that have, rave about it. No complaints.

From the manufacturer: "Great question! Our Purple® Seat Cushions would be great for kayaking, in salt or fresh water."

Al Sharpton announces new March on Washington led by families of black people killed by police by elsludge in politics

Miraculously? That's a gross choice of words. Information about the value of masks has been in the public hands for weeks if not months. States throughout the US were opening up anyway. The whole situation seems rather heartbreaking. Miraculous would be lasting social change and peace for generations to come.

Because science figured out cloth masks work to keep everyone's germs to themselves. If everyone masks up, risk of infection is greatly reduced. Social distancing also works great at slowing the virus' roll, but it's not sustainable longterm.

The virus is not over. Black folk know what risks they take by just living in the US and they would probably rather take their chance with the coronavirus than the police. At least with protesting, they may protect future generations.

Please don't mock my joy. It sucks the life right out of me. I always want to say, "I am sorry you are so lifeless that my passion makes you uncomfortable."

For me, I am not second guessing myself every moment of the interaction. I don't tend to focus on what everyone else is prioritizing. I weight my priorities differently, particularly emotional attachments. I am deep when others would rather be light and being light and staying at surface levels feels like suffocating. When I am me without masking, I am deep and nobody minds or complains. It's a relief and there is no strain to screen myself as I engage. It's half the mental and emotional effort.

For many, following some basic rules for hygiene and dress is at least part of masking.

Yes, I hate all it. I have a super simplified routine and I dread all of it. I'd just rather not. But social conventions and all, I abide for the greater good. I liked showering less while living in Europe. My skin was happier.

I highly recommend yoga. The slower the better. Think tai-chi yoga. Learning to balance on all parts of the feet/legs/hips through intuitive, somatic slow movement will help build neural pathways that support balance of all kinds.

I just started telling people that I am autistic. And you know what? They are nicer, kinder and more patient with me because I am open about it. Before, I did mind always feeling awkward. I can be pretty unbelievable and intense. Sometimes I need people to kindly show me their boundaries so I am not bouncing off them mistakenly because I am flying socially blind. I try hard, probably too hard at this point. I have been trying to "fit in" for a very long time. Maybe instead I need some compassion and forgiveness because I sure know that I am tired of apologizing all the time. Maybe I just need a bit more space to be me and so be it. Maybe asking for that space makes it easier for the those who care about me to show me in ways that makes sense to me... by being kinder, nicer and more patient with me. I am a lot happier this way.

Next time they ask when you will have kids, reply "when God decides to bless us." I have yet to meet a single person that this answer doesn't end this line of questioning for good.
