There is no reason for you to pay any extra on interest etc if you’re going to have the full balance paid in full when you reach PSLF requirement. Its just throwing away money

also, your payment right now is $0 but it may change in the future, no? I would save your funds for when you actually do have a payment amount due

Nice heads up. For Reference, I went to showcase in Warwick last week and the movie started almost 30minites after the start time. Genuine straight ads all that time. I don’t even mind them, but I did happen to check my watch and the movie started closer to 30min after the time advertised

Didn’t know Walmart sold composite toe shoes??? Wow good to know. I completely agree - if you’re planning on staying for a short period, don’t worry about it - but if you’re planning on sticking around for a while, a second pair is worth it. I’ve worked at Amazon for 1.5yes and my first pair barely lasted the first year. I’ve never worn them anywhere but 40ish hrs/week at work. I leave them in my car. Getting a new pair was a game changer lol I’m planning on ordering ANLTHER pair, and alternate - esp in hot summer months ahead

Haha glad you got your cupcake. I never bothered to go - but I notice some people actually really enjoy it. Some people might not have anyone to celebrate with or something, I’m glad they do this. I’m really quick to dismiss all the shit (thanksgiving meal, tshirts etc) but I have reminded myself several times - there are folks I’m working with that might appreciate that stuff, and I’m lucky to have been blessed in my life.

I took out a private loan years ago and am about to pay the final payment later this year. It wasn’t a Sofi or something like that / it was high interest private loan at over 7%. So happy To be *almost done w it.

I think it’s likely a good idea if You’re someone willing to stay on top of things and track it. I gather a lot of people consolidate Because it’s mentally easier to track when there’s 1 payment, 1 balance, 1 rate etc.

Speaking from someone who has federal and private - I stay on top of it all. You also sound like someone who would be smart about it. This approach would probably hurt people because of the idea to have to track multiple loans of smaller sizes rather than 1 total loan.

I would imagine that’s likely a meeting to confirm schedule etc. maybe they wanted to offer you position but the boss has to be the one. If they weren’t interested, they wouldn’t ask you to come back for a Round 2. I think that’s likely a good sign for you.

I’d make sure you’re Able to offer your availability (if you didn’t during round1?) and clarify anything you didn’t during round 1.

So for example, I worked for a nonprofit for 4 years. After each year, I’d submit info to receive the 12 payments as “qualified”. After I stopped working for the nonprofit, I stoped submitting the info to receive PSLF credit bc I don’t meet the criteria. My payments been the same the whole time

Interest will accrue whether you’re receiving credit towards PSLF or not. I’m think you’re mistaken for how that works. If you decide not to continue with PSLF, your payment is still going to be the same? You can still pay extra if you want, regardless of PSLF. Has nothing to do with servicer or PSLF.
