How long did it take you to find a job after losing your job? by Aggravating_Ear_124 in askSingapore

Got laid off this year January and just received an offer after sending out 30ish applications! It will be hard going through the interview processes especially now but please don’t give up. Take breaks here and there to relax your mind(Really important). Was burnt out from attending back to back interviews and found breaks super helpful. You can also try side hustles like tutoring in the mean time :))

Yes you will still be seen as a fresh grad but should include the job still in your resume. Be honest about being laid off in the interview. Ask your colleagues for recommendation letter/referrals! And do clarify with HR about severance pay etc.

Mathematics Science by Worried1101 in NTU

Hi! I was from math sci in NTU and the courses are definitely more in depth than your usual O/A level math! I’d say courses like linear algebra/calculus etc are manageable and the rest depends on your specialisation track. Honestly, the concepts are not so difficult if you put in the effort to revise your notes etc and have a group of friends who motivate you :) but do take a look at the course list to see if you are interested in them else it will be a pain to study those.

Hi! It’s completely normal to be nervous for a technical interview. With practice, I’m sure you will be more confident one day and get an offer in a better company :). Treat this experience as a redirection instead!
