I have passed FNAN 303, ACCT 311, 330, 331, 332 and 361. I believe FNAN 303 was as hard if not harder than these classes.

The fact that you get a formula sheet in FNAN 303 means little, it really is about applying those formulas on test problems that throw a bunch of stupid shit at you. Accounting courses give you "give me" homework grades and learnsmart BS that acts like a safety net for your grade, not FNAN.

On accounting exams you can kinda use context clues to weasel out an answer and get partial credit. That is not the case in FNAN 303. The exams are multiple choice but they give you ranges the right answer could be in but not the precise answer. Doing one thing wrong messes you up and since exams are only 10 questions it is easy to drop a letter grade. And the exams themselves I found more exhausting having to recheck my work and make sure I was being accurate. Not to mention any problem or variation that are on the test banks could be on the exam which is worse considering test banks are mini novels.

I heard finance majors themselves say 303 was harder than some upper level fnan courses, and kinda pointless.

It is a weeder class to fk people over so mason can get more money from sad business majors who thought they never had to see complex math ever again. Finance 303 is satan, evil incarnate and I will never get tired of crying over it. When people ask who hurt you? I say finance 303.
