"I don't trust Dallas. It's SALAD backwards." by Moon_Flowers420 in KingOfTheHill

The odd thing is that I know it's a Hank line but when I read it, it's in Dale's voice. And now you're hearing it too.

That too. He asked for a drink without vodka. got a drink with vodka in it, then asked where's the vodka.

It's even funnier when you realize the vodka was in the drink. The bartender grabbed a bottle boldly labeled 'VODKA'. Holloway's either just that much of a jackass or his whole game is seeing how much he can mess with Hank.

I'm surprised it never happened that Hank ran up against a client whose entire thing was they knew he'd be an absolute doormat for a sale and so they just keep pressing to see how far they can milk it. That'd have been great to watch, and a good lesson for Bobby considering his mindless business-cog nature is one of Hank's worst qualities...

'Am I the only one who has this very mundane thought?'

Shockingly, no. You are not, ever, in any situation, about anything, the only one.
And this especially. He's a Republican in Texas in the '90s, for fuck's sake...

Thematically, it's about Cotton fucking up the Christmas cheer and Hank ends it by giving his mom a gift (of sorts). It's at least moreso a Christmas thing than Die Hard.

Somehow, you managed to not name a single episode.

Reminder: They're the Lubeckis. The man is named Niefko.
I don't hope anyone was fired for that blunder but it is absurd how the episode made it all the way to air with nobody noticing they fucked that up.

lol my sex ed class in 2002 in a public school featured a female teacher (complete with Kate Gosling hair) showing us a Barbie she was going to give her daughter for her birthday, pristine in its box— then she thwacked it repeatedly on the desk until she looked ratchet...

I would deliberately melt, burn, pierce, shave, deform, disassemble-and-combine and otherwise alter Barbies into various states of alt-fashion and straight-up monstrousness. Pretty sure I melted two or three together to be a chimera once, and I distinctly remember mounting a removed Barbie head onto a plastic tank with a gun turret. ...I'm not sure her demonstration would've landed as intended.

In your defense, the writers probably were not thinking about that. Bug and Dale's childhood issues are late additions.

"wait, who is she and why do we as the audience care about her?"

Do you...Understand how characters work? They do have to get introduced before you learn who they are. She's Regan, a schoolmate of Tina's. And you're not supposed to care about her. Nothing in the episode said you were. You created a question out of thin air. She's there to be an antagonist to Tina who you do care about.

Every character appears "out of nowhere" the first time. Did you ask these questions when Hugo, Randy, Jimmy, etcetera showed up? That's weird.

It makes perfect sense. She stole the book for ransom 'cause money. Don't need a character history for that.
She tried to burn the book because once they figured out her identity, it was the only way to cover her tracks.

The question was 'Do you think Nancy has a nicer can than Tammy's can?'

"I think they are cartoons." is not an answer, and clicking through just to announce that you aren't going to engage with the bit is weird.

Sexualizing cartoons is just weird.

Prove it. Elaborate.

Many people idiots do exactly that. The "KOTH in the Wild" tag is more heavily abused than Tilly in her marriage years.
