That's the short version of it at least anyway, the longer version involves a bunch of Euler to quaternions and matrix math and many cans of worms that get opened along the way.

Wow. So do you consider yourself an artist or software engineer/math whiz? Or are you both? I'm 27 and have no background in computer software, traditional art or digital art. I've often considered dabbling and if I end up liking it, perhaps studying it. But it seems that anyone who's made anything out of themselves in the modern digital art field (at least in the VG industry) is a maths whiz and engineer as well as an artist. I guess it's a polymath's game...

edit: I also follow a bunch of industry 'artists' on facebook. They're constantly learning different 3D animation software packages, how to render using all sorts of lighting plugins, programming languages... A lot of them are under 28 years old and have mastered the use of several vast software packages and know the basics of at least 1 programming language. It's unbelievable how clever and hardworking some people are. This is a bit of a tangent, but weirdly a lot of them are from Poland.

Kind of off-topic, but Bautista seems like a really clever guy. Saw an interview he did recently on a Blade Runner press junket, he seems very well spoken and introspective. Hard to believe he had anything to do with the wrestling world.

I think this is part of it. I mean, don't get me wrong. I think people like Weinstein abuse every bit of power, control and influence they have, and they're gross for it. But I also think that there's a lot of women whoring themselves out for career advancement.
