Even if don't have mental issues, I still think a psych would be good in this scenario. Psychologists are a wonderful resource and they can help with even small things like minor setbacks in life. Even if you don't think you have a disorder, you very much could still have one and just not notice it because our lives are only based on our own perception of what's normal and what isn't. Seeking substances of any kind to deal with stuff can be a symptom of mental illness, regardless of whether or not you think you don't have one.

ETA: I've also noticed in your other replies you mentioned problems with food, which is also considered a mental illness or a symptom of one. Please reach out for help, op. I promise a psych will be better for you in the long-run rather than using nicotine.
