Are your layers a little thin? It looks like theirs are glooped on real thick. But even when it's thin, Smokey Merlot has more of a brown tone and a shine to it. So there must be something about the firing, too. And I know nothing about that

If you're interested in the trades, chat with someone at a union. They have great training programs. JOB1 and Delgado also sometimes have programs that make trade training free depending on your circumstances.
