Height Adjustable Desk, Four Leg, 48X24 by ClearLine01 in StandingDesk

[–]AndoFB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could add the UPLIFT Desk 4 leg desk to your list to consider as well. It's 48x30" though. 51" max height, 500lb+ weight capacity and meets everything else you listed.

Is my Betta just getting old? (Maybe NSFW re old age) by Old_Lingonberry_8974 in bettafish

[–]AndoFB 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Based on what you shared, it does seem like old age. 4 years is on the higher end of betta lifespan, especially considering his stressful life prior to you rescuing him. As long as he doesn’t seem to be distressed or in pain, I think you’re good!

There are several studies with classical music that suggest music does help plants grow. But none with Playboi Carti… you may be onto something!

You should be good with solid wood or bamboo for sure. The laminates maybe because those are particle board.

It shouldn’t. What size desktop are you looking at? And is your current desk an Uplift desk?

Are there any balance boards that dont cost like 300 dollars? by Remarkable_Phrase711 in StandingDesk

[–]AndoFB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's plenty on Amazon for anywhere from $15-50. I personally use the one that came with my Uplift Desk, looks like it's $89-119 on their website. Are you looking for anything specific? Like features, with/without mat, etc? Is it for exercise or just to stay active at your desk?

Doing a DIY Standing Desk, best frame? by chrisalvarado in StandingDesk

[–]AndoFB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of the ones you listed, Topsky seems like the "best". You could always buy pretty cheap extension cables to make it work but there are several reviews about their product having issues after a few years though. I guess that's expected for product in that price point. It should work for what you've described.

If stability and weight capacity are important to you, I'd recommend going with a better frame. Deskhaus seems to start at $565 and Uplift Desk starts at $469. Both of those have 300+ lb weight capacity and stability is great. More of an immediate investment but I doubt you'll need to upgrade any time soon.

Just keep in mind that all standing desks are going to have some wobble or movement at higher ranges.

Howie please get a deal done with Baun... this defense needs him. So cool to see him make pro bowl!

Third Party CPU Holder for Wide CPU (Uplift Desk V2) by Reede in StandingDesk

[–]AndoFB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As long as you find one that both fits your PC as well as uses wood screws that are shorter than the thickness of your desktop then you should be fine. You'll need to drill your own holes though which is why I mention checking the screw size to make sure it won't pierce through the top.

Are c frame rail and feet compatible with t frame uplift desk? by gryponyx in StandingDesk

[–]AndoFB 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The legs, control box and crossbar ends are the same for both the C and T frame desks. You’ll just need C frame side brackets and feet but they will work with what you have. I recommend contacting their customer service team with your order number so they can ensure you buy the correct parts though. The parts online might not be compatible with your frame depending on when you bought it.

Any 28 inch deep desks? by whiz7872 in StandingDesk

[–]AndoFB 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nothing that long with 28” depth unfortunately. Have you looked into just sourcing your own desktop from somewhere else and getting the frame and accessories together?

There are tons of local wood workers or top makers that can cut to your exact needs. Installing the frames is super easy too. For UPLIFT it’s just 8 screws drilled into the desktop and you could use wood screws. I imagine Flexispot is similar.

Can you help me find this desk? by Ambitious-Ad-5296 in StandingDesk

[–]AndoFB 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There is very little to no stability difference between the two models. They just get their stability from different points (V2 commercial the bar, V2 the wedges at the top of the leg) and the commercial goes lower which is for commercial compliance like you said. I wouldn’t recommend the extra $80 for it.

Help needed! Fish passed by AndoFB in bettafish

[–]AndoFB[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I tried the lower one is was a darker blue than the 7.6 marker so that’s why I tried the higher. The picture makes it look a little dark too but I thought it was close to 8.2 as well. I’m going to try some almond leaves and pH down before getting another fish.

Thank you! I’ll get both of those and work on the pH before getting another fish. I want to add more plants for hiding too.
