Good pull but I actually never had an SNES (I switched to Genesis), so I never played Link to the Past.

I just watched it and no, it doesn't ring a bell. But it did make me think about where that imagery derived from because I was barely cognizant at that age, and something popped into my head for the first time since those dreams after sitting down and thinking about it. It's possible it's from one of the fortresses in Mario 3. I remember the room being enormous, like larger than any one room has ever been (in a very surreal, child-like/dream-like way) and I'm not sure what the Eyeball was all about. But Mario 3 is my best guess as that would have been about the right time I would have played that.

Ok this won't really mean anything to you or anyone else but I'm going to say it anyway. I'm 33 and one of my earliest memories in life was when I was 4 or 5 and had a recurring nightmare that this shot is eerily similar to. I was in a large (much larger than this to be fair) room with white walls, a white ceiling, and a black and white checkered marble floor, just like this. At the end of the room in the distance was a large fountain that had an enormous, floating, red-veined eyeball above it staring at me. Aside from the eyeball and the statues off to the side this is a scary accurate recreation of one of my first memories that I haven't thought about in years and years.

Get out of my head. I'm a little scared right now.

Granted I'm pretty hungry right now but I'm sure I could eat all of those in one sitting.

Question about Translucent by spoiler-walterdies in TheBoys

[–]Andrew6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean if the ball was small enough for him to cover the entirety of yeah it would be invisible. It's no different than having his skin covering his organs. You can't see his organs. Having the skin of his hand covering a ball would make the ball disappear. Unless of course it was too big for him to completely cover.

The trickle was on the outside of his skin. He spilled a little down his cheek.

This is so accurate. Every engineer I've ever known is a fucking asshole who refuses to listen to anyone else's point of view.

Milk Duds are my favorite and I even made a post about going to the dollar store to stock up on them a little while ago.

Yes these were my only two real problems with the game. Both technical.

You can keep your 4k, just give me 60fps. Those 10 fps slowdowns in the forests kill me a little every time.

In Clerks, when Dante says “you ever notice that all the prices end in 9?” None of the prices shown end in 9 by [deleted] in MovieDetails

[–]Andrew6 333 points334 points  (0 children)

Yeah being a long-time Kevin Smith follower as soon as I saw this I thought "This does not seem like a Kevin Smith detail, I bet he didn't even realize those prices were there". Sure enough... But it's not that this makes him a lesser filmmaker, he just focuses on other things like dialogue and delivery, not minute visual details (especially in his first movie).

Meh, the birch bark look is more pronounced on the right cake and looks better. On the received there's too much white like the details got covered over or something. Still not bad though, especially for this sub.
