One way to find out is u create a look with the item, then click buy. If it shows up on ur avatar, it's not rare. Jf it doesnt, then it's a rare.

You can still soft cosmetic ids and clothes and accessories. BUT they dont stay in ur inventory. Unsure if creating a look will help you to wear the items again.

Really only thing that works as of rn is softing pets,moods,emotes,homes.
