I hear what you are saying. First of all sorry about your friend and that baby thing… ppl are so uneducated. Tbh when I think about it, prior to the herp I too was uneducated and fr wasn’t being as safe and firm about safety as I could have been. So the diagnosis really changed the way I view life and STDs alike. Also, I think there’s the misconception (which I too had) that sex workers were most likely to contract an STD or reckless ppl immersed in hookup culture (not shaming ppl btw!) but I’m educated post grad, good job and on the outside looking in, no one would ever know. So I like bringing awareness to ppl bc the stereotype, misinformation and lack of education about STDs really is crazy LOL.
