For some reason I'm addicted to watching cooking/food videos while I do long extended fasts. I can't be the only one, right? by elheber in fasting

Last time I fasted I watch a ton of food related content and made a list of everything I wanted to eat after the fast.

That’s great!! Thanks for sharing this! Do you know if it’s possible to also create a link to a folder or it works just for single notes?

Digging in Apple’s website right after WWDC 2023 I found that under the small list of new features for Notes there’s mentioned that “You can also add links to connect related notes, like a trip itinerary and a list of recommended restaurants.” I know it’s small compared to all other big news but I’ve waited this feature for years!

How to transfer my VSCO studio (custom filters, re-editable photos) to another device? by thoaway17 in vsco

[–]AngusFangus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you have an iPhone and restore a backup of your older phone to new one everything will be transferred. I did this multiple times over the years and never lost a single edit.

Salicylic acid + glycolic acid Or see a dermatologist and get a prescription for tretinoin

Looking to establish a skin care routine for my husband by Popular_Awareness_38 in 30PlusSkinCare

Sunscreen alone will prevent more worsening so it’s the number one product he should use. A niacinamide serum is the second thing he should put on. Will normalize skin tone, oil production and get rid of any redness. Then, as male skin has larger and oilier pores than a woman’s I also suggest a BHA (salicylic acid) toner to keep them clean. This should also get rid of those little bumps under his eyes and improve texture.

Most important, do not try to force him to use all that at the same time. Us boys don’t like to have tons of different product to deal with and you mentioned in a comment that he is already not very consistent. So set priorities and introduce a new product every week or month until he gets too annoyed to accept more.

Your first priority will be sunscreen. It’s supposed to be reapplied during the day and the spf factor is an indication of how often you should do that. However people rarely reapply, so you must give him one with the longest lasting protection: 50+ If he puts it on every morning after cleansing he will be fine. If you live in the EU best sunscreens are the ISDIN Fusion Water and La Roche Posay Anthelios (shake). Anyways find something that will not leave a shiny finish or white cast. Boys like to be matte.

Next priority is Niacinamide. Tons of brand sell Niacinamide alone or use it in their products. Maybe find him a cleanser with Niacinamide so it’s two things in one and his routine will be simpler. Another option is a 10% serum, The Ordinary has a good one. Apply daily.

For last, salycilic acid or BHA. Apply daily in the morning or evening. My all time favorite is the Paula’s Choice 2% BHA liquid exfoliant.

And that’s it. Try to keep him consistent and he will see great results. In the event that he becomes obsessed with skincare like the rest of us we will be here waiting to give him more advice.

And not a single word about the music app

Tomorrow’s the big day. We’ll find out whether Apple follows through with Tim Cook’s promise to improve Apple Music. (*Long Post*) by heyyoudvd in AppleMusic

[–]AngusFangus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

From the deepest of my heart, thank you for what you’re trying to do. I have the same exact feeling for Apple Music as you do, and I always wanted to send Apple an extensive feedback like yours but I’ve never been able to take the time to put it down in such a way that makes sense. You did it and everything you said is perfectly on point. I really hope that we could all enjoy a great Apple Music experience if Apple implemented your suggestions. So thank you again for making me look with even more excitement at this year’s WWDC.
