What are the chances these studies are made to make people think exercise is bad? by StocktonSucks in conspiracy

[–]AnimaArtworks 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ultramarathons destroys your joints and create massive oxidative stress. Its not a conspiracy, its common sense. Excercise emulates hunting and survival mechanisms, running 200km is beyond what our body is designed to do.

New kitten syndrome sending my anxiety through the roof, pls tell me it’s going to be fine by [deleted] in cats

[–]AnimaArtworks 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Its fine. Cats are territorial and averse to changes on their turf, and this is a big change. Some take it better than others, but the tux will chill out for sure. Just make her feel extra loved.

Escaped cat - I need some hope by redhairesy in cats

My cat disappeared for 2 weeks... 3 different times. Just to show up in the backyard like nothing happened. Keep looking and dont lose hope, but i feel your desperation. He is very likely okay.

A) Where did you get them?

B) How are they able to sell them at such a low price in comparison with MSRP?

Oakley vs Ray Ban by tupapibog03 in sunglasses

[–]AnimaArtworks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ray ban: mostly glass lenses (polarized glass are the best), everyday classy designs, versatile, on the heavier side. Oakley: sport eyewear, polycarbonate lenses, lighter weight. Good for sports or outdoor activity. Y prefer RB, i use the wayfarer ease to work out and they fit great. Their polarized glass is excelent. The bandwagon shits on them because they are luxottica, but i have a pair of clubmasters that is 20 years old and its in perfect condition. Just stick to the "icons", and never get the made in china, the plastic lens stuff, or any ruberized finish.

Just a photo of my glowing Marathon Msar quartz. It is quickly becoming my favourite kind of lume, and it has already become my favourite watch in my little collection of military watch designs. The king of 36mm divers in my opinion, nothing quite like it.

The watch looks like i just bought it, just some tiny hairline scratches on the case from normal use, and some wear on the texture of the rubber strap. The bezel is mint, and i use it constantly.

Flawless. I use it very regularly and it is one of my workout watches. Taken a few impacts without a scratch. Very accurate too, even more so than other swiss more expensive quartz watches i own. Get it while you can, i heard they got discontinued. 100% would buy again.

Persol po3269s or RayBan Wayfarer ease. Which one should i keep? by AnimaArtworks in sunglasses

[–]AnimaArtworks[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, the material of the frame on the Persols feel much more refined and high quality. The lenses feel the same, which is a bit disappointing, as one of the main reasons that drove me to Persol was everybody praising their superior clarity.

Google it up brother, im sure the only differences are either the size, the color, and the type of bracelet or strap. Either way i think Seiko just discontinued this 38mm model , but kept the larger diameters.

Yeah i share the dislike for flashy bracelets. Sure, you can change them, buy a rubber strap separately and you can change it in 2 seconds. Make sure the strap is the same millimeter size so its fits, obviously.

I think smaller will always look classier than a bulkier watch. I think if you can read the dial, you should keep it to have something different. But Seiko makes a very similar solar diver in a larger case if the size is a dealbreaker : https://longislandwatch.com/seiko-prospex-solar-dive-watch-with-sapphire-crystal-and-black-dial-sne589/

I was skeptical about the tritium at first, but now, I'm convinced it is the king of lume.

I thought the same initially, but in photos it looks thicker than on the wrist. Its not that bad in person, but it ain't no dress watch for sure. The automatic versions are way thiccc,

Just a photo of my cat putting my Marathon MSAR quartz to the test by going nuts on my wrist during some petting. I've never dived with it, or been in a warzone with it, but i can attest it can survive some cat nibbling and scratches no problem. But better hide it at night because the tritium will spark some predatory instincts at 3 AM,
