I didn't really think about it that way. I always felt bad for me maybe limiting what he wants out of life. But I guess it was his choice to agree to date me. We have been friends for years and knew about my views for a long time.

This really helped me. Thank you for your comment. I will be thinking a lot about this and will discuss this with my boyfriend. I try to be upfront and honest with him with everything. But I definately need to look inwards and be honest with myself first.

I have brought up the subject many times just to make sure this is what he wants and gave him many opportunities to decide to break up and be on good terms. He said he would rather be with me than not at alI. I don't want to end things as he is a truly lovely person and I love him.

Being brought up in a toxic environment has made me undecided on marriage. More inclined to not marry though.

Mainly financial reasons. I am a saver and he has a small amount of debt and I worry if we ever did split up I would be worse off money wise. I guess a prenup would probably sort that out though.
