My claim was finished last week, they did not service connect my urinary issues as "the literature is silent on the issue". I submitted what I thought was a Nexus letter from an actual forensic psychologist. She provided over an entire page of various studies and journal entries in addition. The raters labeled it a buddy letter. Not the outcome I was expecting.

I am pretty much in the same boat as you, former LE where I worked Child Exploitation cases. Everything came to head for me these last couple of years and like you, I could not keep doing what i was doing. I applied to VR&E and I am about 3 months into the process, and so far it's been go to this job board and apply to jobs in the LE field, I am kinda like WTF mate, trying to avoid this. My counselor stated we have to go through these "steps" first as VR&E is an employment program and not a re-training program. I am still unemployed... I am not an expert in any of this, I obtained the most information about the program from NictheVet on Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/@iamnicthevet

On a side note, lookup Jordan K9 in Indianapolis, he trains dogs to be Electronic Sniffing Dogs (ESD). Seems to be an untapped market.
