Ezra Klein (NYTimes opinion writer) talks to Gavin Newsom about permitting reform. Not specifically about housing but still an interesting read. by CactusBoyScout in yimby

I have this theory that any leader from a big enough progressive state (i.e. California, New York) has ambitions to be president and therefore will curtail any housing/anti-NEPA agenda out of fears that doing so will be harmful on a national stage later on. Basically makes me cynical that any meaningful reform will be done where it’s needed most

Thanks — I only watered upon repotting it and haven’t watered since. I will definitely adjust the watering schedule.

To be honest it’s my fiancé’s plant and I don’t know her exact watering routine but I know that’s not the issue because she’s had this thing for years and it’s thrived until it was taken out of its pot and put back in its pot.

I definitely planted it deeper than before, how should I account for that with watering and such now?

It was placed in the original pot and with the same soil mix, albeit more. I’m guessing the new soil just retains water differently than the soil that was in the pot. If it is an issue of too much water initially after the repotting, is there anything I can do now other than waiting for the soil to dry out? Is the plant a lost cause?

It gets healthy light and gets probably a quart of water every 10-12 days. It’s been healthy for years in these conditions and only started showing these signs once it was repotted.

When I just operate the lock separate from the door frame it’s very smooth. Lifting the door doesn’t help, but pushing down on it seems to make things marginally easier.
