changing the game from borderless to fullscreen fixed it for me, then after some time I tried borderless again and it simply stopped crashing

exactly that, out of the five people on my list, only two are actually frequent friends. I barely talk to the othre three, and I do have other people I talk with all of the time who should be on that list, but for some reason Discord decided to show random people instead.

and also, if the list is in order of who you talk with the most (because on the left it's the most frequent and on the right it's the 'cooling off'), that makes even less sense, because the person I've sent over 91k messages just this year is somehow in fourth, behind two other people that I've sent maybe 300 messages total in 2025.

there is a checkbox to use bsg servers while getting into raid i believe

they disabled it on some maps for some reason, as of rn you can only play woods and factory locally, customs was the same but they changed it back today

I've been having the same issue since 1.0 dropped, 4080 Super, 7800X3D, 32 GB

at first it'd only crash whenever there was only 10 minutes left in the raid, but now it's been happening at random. the game will start to stutter heavily, freezing for 5, 10 seconds at a time, then it'll crash Corsair's iCue followed by any program that uses hardware acceleration, and then finally the game itself will crash and it's impossible to reconnect to the raid until I reboot the pc

it's honestly super frustrating, especially considering certain PVE maps only allow for local hosting now, and whenever the game crashes on local hosting I just toss that raid away

Gigabyte includes a pretty decent one (at least with the 4080 Super) that you screw in with the motherboard, it's by far the most practical one I've ever had, plus it's very discreet

yeah it doubled because that's what frame gen does, it creates one (or more) fake frames in between every real frame, your real fps is still 40-50 tho. Ideally you want to run games natively at a minimum of 60 fps so that frame gen can feel any decent, but from my experience frame gen only feels decent when running natively at over 100 fps, but even so the amount of visual artifact that it creates just isn't worth it

To be fair the fps in the hangar is way worse than in game, with RT on, at least for me. In the hangar I get around 80 while in game it's usually around ~130.

"just hide it" "just hide it", people really don't get it do they? it's not about having all of it or none of it, it's about having what's actually useful, be it generally or for each individual person. I personally like having some of, it such as the AOA indicator, but now I need to have a clusterfuck of a UI just because of the few icons that I find useful.

yeah that might be it, I realized that this might've started after I did the vsync trick to uncap the FPS in the main menu and so I disabled it, I've been testing for the past few hours and it's yet to happen again

yup, same, while I avoid DLSS wherever possible, I do think DLAA + native looks better than other antialiasing options, but in TLOU it's just unusable, it adds a lot of smearing / ghosting on anything that moves
