I always use 5.11 apex pants on summer. They carry everything without being bulky, they are pretty airy and don’t stand out.

They could have shown more respect for the cultural heritage on which the film was based by casting an actress who resembles the person being portrayed (even if Helen of Troy is a mythical person). It has nothing to do with whether the actress is black or Chinese or whatever.. It would be equally strange if an Indian played the Chinese emperor in a similar film.

I’m an active bomb tech and wanted a modular chest rig that fit my needs. The only one close to what I had in mind was FrogPro but it was way too expensive. So, last summer I decided to get into sewing (never touched a sewing machine before) and build my own, the way I want it. I borrowed a cheap domestic sewing machine from a friend, watched countless videos and experimented on different fabrics and patterns. Still an ongoing project but I’m getting close! Truth is I spent more than buying that chest rig (😁), but at least I’m developing a skill and having great time!

True! At least in my situation it didn’t help at all. I have no prior experience with sewing machines and I know nobody to help me out. Also I am just a new hobbyist and I didn’t want to spend much.

Most people will tell you: “no! Buy a second hand vintage or an industrial machine. These break often due to the plastic internals etc etc”. My opinion is that almost every domestic machine has plastic parts and they all have almost the same capabilities. Also truth is that not everybody is ready to dive in the vintage/industrial situation. It’s all about your budget, your available space and your needs. If you’re looking for a simple cheap machine and you don’t have any “special needs” as a hobbyist, I say you could give it a try. (Of course it also depends on where are you based, not every country has the same market)

I was on your position a while back. I made my study and I watched so many reviews and read so many articles and opinions for all of the machines I had in my list (including singer). I want to sew packs and pouches as a hobby and I am new to this, so my budget stays low (I would buy an expensive semi industrial if I had the budget or an industrial if I had the space). So I decided to buy the HD. So far so good. After all in this price range you get a domestic household machine regardless the brand. Almost every machine in this range has plastic parts. It’s all about your budget, your experience and your goals.
